I'm a bit slow off the mark here, but as a proud Nowak jacket owner, let me also say welcome to COW, Tony!
Your work is fantastic, every jacket unique but all built to the highest standard.
How you put up with my weeks of enquiring emails and phonecalls at all hours I'll never know!
It's a pleasure to do business with you, and those that have, know this.
I'll post some pictures of both of my jackets shortly.

Hey Tony

I don't spend a lot of time in the Jacket section, but I'm glad I looked at it today. I was in L.A. a couple of months ago visiting my son and met with Tony. I had a great time and wound up placing an order for a Raiders style in shrunken lamb. In fact Tony gave my son and I a couple of coats from the Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic. Still haven't gotten my Raiders jacket, but I would assume it will be here fairly soon.

Great picture. Great gear.. the way your face looks in this picture reminds me a little of LC Harrison.

can I ask you how long your jacket is?

do you have a full body shot to get an idea how long the jacket looks?

Of course, Tony made this for me custom (naturally) but I am a 42 Regular, if that helps.

The whip is a 10' 12 plait "Indy Style" made by Bernie Wojcicki. I don't have my Jacka yet, but I get a feeling that they have more in common than either would with a DM, as the handle foundation extends well past the ring knot. But it's a great whip (really heavy and thick, btw!) and I love cracking it! :whip:

Gee, thanks!

Not related. Never met him. BUT . . . we share the same birthday! And I will say that I'm basically his size (as far as I know) all over: Shirt, jacket, pants, boots, though I'm a little smaller in the hat.

Where's that photo where you take on the expression and angle of Ford's face, I guess it's not really a jacket pic, but it is neat to see something so close to the original shot.

Yes a phone call is the way to go, and make sure you leave your phone number if you get an answering machine.

Marco, did you leave your phone number on his answering machine and include it in your emails to him?
Often he will reply to emails with a telephone call, as long as you've left your telephone number.

I called one day and left a message and after 24hrs, he did not return my call. The following day I tried again and reached him personally, however, it was at what seemed to be a busy time for him. He asked me to leave my number and DID call back within an hour. It is fairly clear, and something I can totally identify with, that the man is a bit of a technophobe.
After reaching him, the conversation went just about the way I imagined it would after hearing his bit in the Indy IV doc and what everyone around here is saying. The man is considerate, funny, a quick wit, and VERY confident in his product. In short: a pleasure to talk to.
Keep after it, follow these guys' suggestions, try calling PST, etc... You won't be disappointed.

To be honest Geert, right now I'm so spun around on the subject of so many impressive jackets that the only things I know for sure are these:
- That I own a Wested that I completely love (and keeps getting better & better the longer I own it and more I wear it)
- That I also want a second Raiders that captures as much Screen Accuracy as possible
- That I want that next jacket to be made by Tony Nowak
- And that I sincerely wish I had my own, personal jacket expert to guide me through some of the information jungle that I sometimes feel so lost in...
;)

But I can tell you this:
Until such time as I get close enough to start re-Re-RE-researching which jacket material, cut, specs, etc are right for me, what I DO know is:
Raskolnikov's TN Raiders in Dark Goat is an awfully nice looking jacket.
:TOH:
But I'd look forward to future guidance...
:)

If it is a TN Raiders or CS you are looking to the only decisions are leather and size. There is no need for a list of specs unless there is some odd thing/measurement/placement you just have to have on a jacket.

Ok, guys!

I chose the LC!!!

Because I have a Wested CS in Novapelle already, and I love that jacket!
And I think especially the LC is just a real LC with the right distressing like crismans one: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=41103

...and Tony seems to be the "Master Of Distressing"!? ;)

Now I have to wait...wait...wait... ](*,) !

I totally agree with RC on this Mitch. The only thing you need to do is look at all the leather choices available, make your pick, get your measurements and call him. Considering You've already Mentioned Raskolnikov's goat jacket, all that seems to be left to do is the measurements and calling him (Oh, and getting the money of course ;) )

Thanks to you AND RC, Geert. You just made that a lot clearer.

(Tony, if you read this please know that my post was in no way meant to imply that you didn't ALREADY know how to make the jacket of my dreams... I guess I should have simply said "I still have to decide on which leather for my jacket" and it can be confusing because even then, there's a few different - but great - ways to go.")

Beyond that, there's just the little matter (as you so deftly implied, Geert) of continuing to put the money together...

One day, though... Tony's definitely my NEXT jacket... THAT's for sure!
:)

That's right, Son. I don't have a problem with it when it's just about typing and minor things like that. We know TN means no harm and is very generous to us all. Anything seriously bad by anyone here (swearing, baiting, insults, etc) will be swiftly dealt with. :)

Some of the conventions of the early days of the Internet lists and BBs are simply antiquated, yet they persist. Typing in all caps as 'YELLING' is one. Quaint.
We must progress with the medium.
