True.
Oh, and I no longer own that LC jacket. I got tired of getting slapped all the time....but then that's another story all together...

I know that a lot of guys really dig the LC gear (and I don’t want to offend anybody), but the gear in LC was just really dorky. Indy “looked like he was waiting for a flood”, to paraphrase Dr. J. I just can’t get behind the collar either. I remember originally watching the movie in the theatre thinking that HF just didn’t look as cool as in the other 2 movies. Later on I realized that it was the gear. HF just looked “dumpy” in that movie. Hopefully they’ll do a better job in the next flick. Cheers

Shane because of your collar. Your jacket is size 34R? I believe smaller jacket = smaller collar. So that would be quite logical. Anybody with me?

The collar is smaller, but what’s more important is that it looks proportionally right. A lot of guys get caught up with specs. Every jacket size should have different specs. Cheers

That's why I specify just the smaller Raiders pockets & collar, but don't add exact dimensions. If I aksed for them to make them a specific size, and they did, but it looked too big/small, then that would be entirely my fault for specifying that size!! SO I just say smaller & leave it up to Wested to make them the correct size...

Hey Rundquist - I know exactly what you mean. I think I'll have to do that - it looks much better that way. I think without making the collar bases show, it creates an illusion that the collar is smaller, too.
I'll have to wet it and train it - or again, wait for some rain and then just do it.
Thanks for the continued compliments - really makes a guy feel good about his jacket!
I can't wait to break it in and see how it ages! It does feel like... too light to be an Indy jacket. It's surprisingly soft. It feels like it could break easily though, or that it might break after continuous bending of the arm parts. I'm sure that's not the case though.
In Christ,
Shane

i agree about the weight of the jacket! it is very thin but with time and wear it will feel more like an indy jacket.
i put my gloves in my front pockets to stretch the pockets out a little bit so they arent so flat looking..they also weigh it down on the hanger to give it more of a worn look.
Keep wearing it and you will be more and more pleased with it!

Why'd you send back your horsehide? I'm thinking of either getting a HH or getting a G&B through a member. I've never owned a HH or a G&B, so it's a toughie.

Hello Mr. Das
Take a short look on page one of this thread. I've put in some pictures.
I have stated on the wested order form that I want raiders pockets. I thought I will get the small pockets, but I got big huge pockets. Bigger as on my LC jacket. That's why I had to send it back. The new jacket I will get soon is also a horsehide, just with small raiders pockets. I really like the horse, IMO the look is much better as a non distressed lamb. It's a perfect adventure jacket. The only downside... it's much stiffer and heavier as a lamb. But I wrote before when you wear a lamb and immediatly change to a horse. It's a really strange feeling.
Get a horse now but be careful that you not get such huge monster pockets

I wonder if there's a way to order just the pair of sliders, and apply them myself...??
Congrats on the good jacket, Orb!! Let's see how it looks on you!

Hey Orb, sieht echt geil aus! I don't know what they were thinking with those giant pockets they gave you the first time around.
I also have a horsehide that I'm getting altered by a local leather tailor. Mine is a regular cut and it was a little too wide. It had no gussets and the sleeves met the body quite low, making it quite wide when I moved my arms up. The tailor is taking it in, making it more narrow for a better form-fitting shape.

Vielen Dank Garzo
Put in some pictures when your jacket is finally ready
I gave my LC lamb jacket to my father because the jacket was a bit to snug for a LC style. I also had the rideup problem. So today I have ordered a new LC Jacket. Authentic Goat this time and the waiting starts again lol.
