Ford stand in wearing a Standard wested raiders what seems to be a washed lambskin. So according to a source, production got 2 jackets which was used as a base to make the DOD jacket.
So basicely, Production got a wested, made a carbon copy of it with mods, then wested made their DoD version based of a wested knockoff. The rabbit hole goes deep
Pretty cool non the less.
All I know is that I LOVE the look of that stand in jacket.
Almost has the Todd's jacket vibe/leather he's selling now.
With grain you can see on the shoulder and arm.
And are sure that's a stand in and not a fan, I say that because the Fedora doesn't pull the DoD look.
But, yes the rabbit hole does go deep.
I wish I'd jumped on the back pack from Frost River when they were selling the with out the patch.
Will wait fi IM replica to come out.
Oh and does this mean your going to do a DoD thread like tour infamous MotB thread.

That is cool. Makes me want to buy a new Wested Raiders. The story of this pattern is crazy, right? Isn't the Lucasfilm "archive jacket" also a copy of a Wested later copied by Wested for the LC film?
Hi guys,
Holt's theory is pretty good, but perhaps the development of the DoD jacket went through later processes as well.
What we know about the final DoD jacket is that pattern got inspired from somewhere else.
Which concurs with what is posted on IndyGear Main site.
On early design process Costume dep. must have studied a lot of Indy jackets. From different makers perhaps.
But the definitive pure base pattern cut came from the TRUCK HERO jacket (PropStore).
After some tweaks and details changed they got the DoD jacket.
