Absolutely AMAZING Distressing by BadPenny Leather

Post by drewgarcia618 »

Yesterday, the mailman dropped off a package I’ve been eagerly awaiting: my beloved S&J Cazadora jackets. I recently sent them off to knibs7 to have them distressed and WOW. He did amazing, I’ve been in awe at these absolute works of art. To quote him, he thinks it’s his “best Destiny distressing to date” and who am I to disagree.

Here’s an album showcasing his work, both before and after:

If you’re looking to get your jacket distressed and you’re a bit too afraid to do it yourself, I highly recommend reaching out to BadPenny Leather on Facebook.

I actually swapped to that hardware for preference! if you notice, the straps on the Dial of Destiny jacket are actually reversed and then tucked back into themselves (and that jacket has gussets). The Temple of Doom jacket is actually black with brown undertones.

As cool as screen accuracy is, I prefer the function of some of the little things that only us hardcore fans would know.

I’d be more nervous of not getting them back.

Question, is the leather S&J had at the beginning of there DoD run.
I have one and I’ve been tweaking the distressing they did, like doing my own, never touch some one else’s.

Now let’s see it all together in a DoD gear up.

Yeah I noticed that on your Dial of Destiny jacket. Screen accurate jacket had D-rings instead.

Kyle is a true artist when it comes to perfecting the look of a jacket. His attention to detail and craftsmanship are unmatched, ensuring each piece has just the right aged appearance. The process takes time depending on his workload, but as the saying goes, good things take time. He has aged five jackets for me so far, and each one has turned out beautifully. I’ve never had any issues with the jackets being returned, and I always know they’re in great hands with him. Congrats on the jacket!

Yeah, there's no doubt Kyle does a decent job...

But (again), until he addresses the issues raised in the thread about his bad business practices and stealing from customers (cash and goods), I'm afraid the reply will be the same here, he needs to address those issues. You were lucky to get your goods back from him. Not the first either, and that's good! But, he's taken cash and goods from other people, and hasn't spoken here about why he thinks that's ok as a business. And until he does, the replies here about his "excellence" HAVE to be met with "yeah....Buuuuut...." constantly.

He ain't okay to trust. Until he states his case and makes it clear why he did what he did? That opinion won't change and I'll continue to remind new potential customers that there's a fair to good chance he'll scam them too.....

I'm glad you're happy with the work he did though! :TOH:
