Advintage delivering to UK. Additional VAT + Duty costs?

Hello folks - Newly arrived in this merry forum!

I'm excited!
I hope to be ordering an Advintage Premium Raiders Fedora in beaver soon. Eager to kick off the possible 140 day wait time!
But I'm a little unsure about additional costs.
I live in the UK (just north of London), so the 19% VAT will removed.
But then presumably I will have to pay UK vat when it arrives and customs duty. Eek!

So, a question to UK folk who have bought Advintage hats: How much UK VAT + customs did you pay?

My shopping basket says my fedora will cost €490.24 (including €28.90 shipping cost), so that's currently around £415 sterling.
How much will I have to pay on top of that?

First: Welcome to the Advintage club I'm not sure how it is with Vat in UK but I was shocked when I had to pay Vat of 142 GBP in Norway where I live to get my masterpiece Advintage hat.I had Never though it would be that insane Vat.The Vat here is 23% so pretty high.I hope you got more luck than me.I feel when you pay so much it's really a slap in the face having to pay so much extra for taxes

Yeah, I was fearing something like that.
I believe it may be 20% here in the UK, but then there'll be customs duty on top of that - and I have no idea how much that'll be.

Have you asked AdVintage about this? Maybe they can tell you, based on their past experience delivering hats to UK customers.

I was just about to ask AdVintage before I posted here. But I've already been bludgeoning Thomas with such an inane deluge of neophyte questions, that I thought I'd spare him this one - especially as it's not really his responsibility to know or impart this info.
If I don't hear anything definitive from this esteemed forum, though, I may go ahead and bother him with this after all!

Still hoping to hear from some UK buyers with first-hand knowledge!
