I was browsing the web about Indy bag and I found this: https://entertainment.ha.com/itm/movie- ... 009-1232.s
It's an auction listing for "Sankara" stone and pyrotechnic bag from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
What bothers me is that this could not be original used pyrotechnic bag since the pyrotechnic bag used in movie was Mark VI not Mark VII bag. Pyro bag in movie did not have metal disc (makes sense since bags before MKVII did not had them) while this one sold at this auction have it.
How are such incorrect listings possible to happen at auctions ?
Only thing that would make sense is that this bag was used by stuntmen throughout the movie but not as pyro bag.
Temple of Doom stunt bag ? Really ?

Re: Temple of Doom stunt bag ? Really ?
Also, the MKVI used in the stunt had three very visible vents on the bottom, whereas this bag clearly has only two. They also conveniently don't show a photo of the front, which had a dark green patch for the stones to "burn" through. At best, this is misleading. At worst, it's a scam. Someone got rooked.

It’s possible this was a “production used” and not “screen used” bag.
It could have been a test bag to test the pyro effect.
Agreed, the listing is sketchy with the description and not showing the front of the bag.

Indiana Jeff
