Reversing the side-straps?

Post by ob1al »

Did somebody once say that they had figured out a way to 'reverse' the side straps on a Wested, so that they end up pointing 'backwards' rather than the standard Wested 'forwards'? Schwammy, I could be wrong but I think it might have been you?

For the life of me, I can't figure out a way to do this - I think it's just not possible! - but if there is some cunning method (which doesn't involve scissors and needles  ) I would certainly like to hear it!

I'm not certain if this is the method mentioned but a few use it on their lamb jackets so that the straps will stay put without sliding out, and leaving them facing backwards instead. I used it on my goat too, just fold the end of the strap backwards through the D-ring or slider again creating a "double layer" of strap under it. Think S-shape and Z-shape when looking at them individually.
