Wested Destiny owners- reviews? And sizing question!

Hello everyone, and apologies if this has been answered already elsewhere-
I want to order a wested Destiny Jacket. I’ve read here that it has a slightly roomier fit in the chest than the hero pattern. Does anyone find this to be the case?

The website lists the pit to pit measurement for a 40” chest as 23” on a destiny, and I think 21” on the Hero.

I sized up slightly when I ordered my Hero Raiders, but I want to order my exact size on this one. Any info jacket owners can share with me on their experiences with the fit on this one would be greatly appreciated.

PS, I’ve also heard a lot about variation in the skins on these, ranging from ribby to dinosaur skin. Are you happy with your jacket?

While I can’t compare my Destiny jacket with the Raiders hero cut I can say that it is indeed roomier than my LC legacy (25.5 pit 2 pit) and ToD (25) jackets (all are size 46) and also feels that way.

The leather is a bit thicker than the others (washed lambskin and LC Legacy) so I tend to wear it more on slightly colder days and the extra room allows me to have a sweater underneath without feeling overly restricted.

My jacket is a mix of a few ribby spots and slight dinosaur textures, I think I would prefer a bit more of each like some here have but I am happy with it and continue to enjoy the jacket.

I pulled the trigger on that jacket, I hope it fits!
Sadly it’ll probably be too hot to wear it by the time it arrives, ha ha.

The jacket came (in record time), and it’s awesome!
The leather has this incredible patina and texture right out of the box.

Maybe I’ll make a new thread with some more pics shortly. Wouldn’t mind doing a visual comparison against the Legacy Hero as well. They are quite different.
