Last we heard he might be off the grid somewhere out West. Given his health issues towards the end of his time here, I'm hoping that is true.

As the OP, I can't really say RIP. He took my money and never delivered my hat despite years of emails... before he stopped replying.

If you liked him or respected him, you certainly have a right to your feelings. But please forgive me for not sharing them.

It is wholly inappropriate to post a message like this on an obituary thread. If you don’t wish someone a peaceful rest then leave it at that and don’t post.

This is in extremely poor taste.

To be fair to The Pilot he started this thread and it has evolved into an obituary thread (by me changing the title). He clarified as the OP he has unresolved history and left it at that. We don’t want this, or any thread, to devolve into arguing between members.
