Quick question about sizes for cotton jacket
Hi,
I think I am going to invest 85 dollars/equivalent in euros and get myself a cotton Wested before I make the financial leap towards a leather Wested to see if the style of the jacket suits me.
Now my question. Do they only come in the sizes featured on the web page or does Peter make them matching ones size like the leather jackets?
Thank you.

I own one, and also gave Peter a non-standard size as well. There was no question from Peter about whether or not he could do it and I never really bothered to verify the size that I ordered once I got it- it fits well. My only suggestion is that you size up when measuring the chest- ask anyone here, they’ll tell you the same thing. So if you measure a 44R, order a 46R. Don’t be too concerned with sleeve length, just give Peter an accurate length. If you find that your sleeves are just a bit too long once you get your jacket, don’t worry, you can easily modify that yourself.

In my case, probably. I've found that a 42R fits me in all other areas with perfect fit, but unless the sleeves are at least 25 inches, they ride up something terrible, as was evident with the prototype cotton. That jacket is now the property of my eldest daughter, D.Jones here. She's a happy camper! I ordered and received another cotton, but instead of receiving a 42R with 25 inch sleeves, I received a 44R with 25 inch sleeves, D rings instead of requested rectangular slides, and cotton collar instead of requested cordoury. Ah well, I can make it work (didn't feel like jumping through all the hoops to return it) but for a light weight jacket, I really didn't need the extra body room, as I have no plans on wearing a sweater underneath. Feast or famine! That said, though, still a great jacket, and the one I grab the most when heading out the door, for some odd reason. Regards. Michaelson

I got my jacket last week. I sent in my size like it asks on the site for the leather jacket. My jackets fits fine including the sleeves. If you look at the pictures of the cotton Indy jacket it looks to me it has a snap at the Waist and Collar. Am i wrong? Did anyone get snaps on there jacket?
Thanks
Thanks

I've been contemplating ordering one of their cotton Indys for a while now.
My last order was a westd goat, that I love, but it is a bit ill fitting.
I was going to order a cotton, and adjust the things I think are needed, that way, when I order another Wested leather, I can make sure everything is perfect. Plus, I really want one of these cotton babies.

I see what you're showing, sharpetoys. The photo was shot of the original prototype that Peter shipped me, but was mistakenly mailed to Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tn, and mysterously disappeared into the mailroom, never to be seen again. The second prototype that I DID receive did not have these snaps, nor have the other two that I have at home. To tell you the truth, I had never even noticed them in this photo, and thank you for pointing that out. I think that would be an excellent addition to the jacket, and always request those to be added to ANY standard Wested I get. That darn storm flap will beat you to death in a high wind! Thanks for pointing that out! High regards. Michaelson

RE: sleeves. Did I mention that I was built like an ape? Were it not for the missing body hair and non-propensity for bananas, I and the rest of my family might’ve been recruited by Circus Vargas or Barnum and Bailey, or at least the side-show for either. Below is a picture of my older brother, Ron. As you can see by the tell-tale hide coloration, he’s in his mid forties.
