Howdy ya'll-
This is my first post. My name is Randy and I sing for the metal band Lamb of God. After a HORRIBLE experience with texasbullwhips.com (man, I can hear the groans already- I was stupid and ordered from them off e-bay), I stumbled on this place and found out about Jim and EC whips. He has (as most of you know) had a really bad family situation lately (daughter in hospital). I had ordered my 10' 12 plait Indy from him before this had occured, yet he was completely professional and left me a message explaining the situation. His daughter is better now, so hopefully I will have my whip before I go on tour this summer. If it gets done in time, and if any of ya'll like LOUD rock-n-roll, look around the back of second stage at any OZZFEST show this summer and you will see (and maybe hear above the guitar ruckus) a tall skinny tattoed guy cracking an EC whip- that would be me. Hopefully at the NJ gig Jim will show up and we will make some REAL noise. We play at 2:30 pm every day- check it out, and if you can smuggle a whip in, I'll get ya back stage for a beer and some crackin'...
Rock on!!!!!

Welcome aboard.
It's nice to hear that Jim's daughter's doing better! And congrats on the tour! I'd love to come out and see, but we've just spent our concert-going funds seeing Eric Clapton last week.
Please give us some updates from the road, and if you get some snapshots of any cracking sessions, feel free to post 'em.

Look what you did, now I just might have to get myself an album. Is there anywhere where you can take a closer look... eh... closer listen to the songs? The intro music had a bit of Meshuggah and some Pantera in it and I'd like to hear more!
EDIT: I did find some samples under "Gallery". Thanks!
High regards,

Definitley pick up some Lamb of God CD's. Their most recent album, "As The Palaces Burn" is just phenomenal. It's so great to hear a metal band with guitarists that can actually play their instruments. To me they're very reminiscent of Testament and Slayer fused together. Check them out: www.lamb-of-god.com

Thanks bro! Nice to be here. Ozzfest will be AWESOME (bring ear plugs ). Also anyone else into metal- our new record "Ashes of the Wake" drops Aug. 31st on Epic/Sony records, which will have huge international distribution so all European/Japanese/Martian folks can pick it up. Just a hunch, but I'll bet Jim and Ecwhips.com will be the first whip people to get a shout out in the liner notes of a major-label metal record.....ecwhips wrote:Hey Randy,
Welcome to the board, officially! My adrenalin is already flowing in anticipation of 12 hours of whips, metal, and beer. I'll have the whip bag in hand, ready to make some noise my friend!
