Hello again!

Post by Wade Egan »

Hey COW peeps! I know it’s been a while, but I’m alive and being held captive in Vegas by the economy. Ha ha.

Just saying hi and seeing if any old friends remember me. I am making leather gear part time for another company, but I have the bench for personal projects (Indy stuff) on my off time.

Anyway…

Hey Wade! Long time no see! I remember your work quite fondly though I never had the chance to own any myself.

Hi everyone of old! Ha ha. It’s been hard travel for me but I am back to the point I have a bench and basic tools to work with. However i now work for someone else primarily but I have the bench during off hours. Gotta start small but I’m going to try. At this point I have leather for two holsters, maybe 5 or 6 straps, and belts I can do all day cause I’m stocked with belt leather for now.

If you’re interested in having something made, or I didn’t get to you before my life collapsed, please email me or message me here and I’ll see what I can do. Again this will be in my off hours.

Thanks,

Wade

Your legend continued in your absence. Not long ago, when I was looking for something leather-y, someone here mentioned you as a master leather craftsman, saying "This guy Wade Egan used to do that and made great stuff."

Wade, good to see you back. As with so many of our beloved self-employed vendors it's a rough road when things go south but so great to see that you made it through.

I look forward to seeing and hopefully purchasing some more of your incredible gear. Your LC strap has made it through a lot of adventures with my Mrk VII and I think I might need to add to that collection at some point...... \:D/

Also, lived in Vegas for a year. Love that place no matter how insane it gets.

:TOH:

Cheers, mate!

Looky what the cat dragged in!!!

Good to hear from you man! Hope all is well. My last Wade Egan belt has been taken by oldest son to use as his tool belt (he is an independent contractor and owns his own business...he was probably 10 years old when I bought it!!)

Keep on keepin on!

Thanks for all the love dudes!

Just wanted to let you know I’m available to make gear orders. It’s getting too hot to paint here in Vegas and I’m trying to make the jump to hyperspace, uh, I mean full self employment again this summer (leatherwork and music). My main leather job is designing for another company, mainly holsters and guitar straps right now. While I don’t plan to do another Indy Gear website I am free to make adventure gear on the side. Our company is Derwood Leather Co. and we’re focusing on B to B but I’m good to take custom orders through there for non Indy stuff. You can reach me at wade@derwoodleather.com or direct (Indy Gear peeps) at wadeegan14@gmail.com.

Check out DerwoodLeather.com for the 1911 holsters we’re promoting right now.

Hope to hear from you!

THANKS,

Wade

A new belt made by Wade for my Bride. She loves it! Beautiful work, hefty leather, and a solid brass buckle with snaps so she can change out the buckle if she ever wants to. Full marks.

You're very welcome, Wade. :TOH:

When I have the money, I'd really like to buy a guitar strap from you (I'm currently learning how to play acoustic guitar). 🎸
