Sergei, thanks for correcting me, and sorry to not get the story straight, Lee. I guess as the hair on top of the head gets thinner, the memories get fuzzier. Odd.

You may have nailed this, but I am not sure which came first. Is it the thinning hair that allows the memories to leak out, or the memories leaking out that causes the hair to thin?
Well, I know one thing for sure. On October 21 the whole gusset construction issue should be put to bed. In the scene when Indy grabs ahold of the truck fender and letting go of the grill, there is a good shot of the gussett area. VHS just doesn't allow for a clear picture. The new DVD offerings should display a clear image.
A member here named Rob DWF, or something similar, recorded Raiders in HDTV last year. If he could grab that screen shot that may do the trick as well.
I can't think of a better shot in Raiders that shows the gusset. Can anyone else?

running OT here but if we remember the Steranko pics and the all the Pre Raiders gear,he apears to be wearing a Sam Brown style shoulder strap rather than a shoulder bag

If this pic was taken at the time of raiders, why does it look like the jacket lenght is about 1" longer than the original?or is it the pocket placement wich is different?
On my raiders wested the pockets is placed very near the waist, on the pic it looks like they are at least 2-3" away from the waist.
I think its more likely ToD then radiers.
A part from that my jacket is very close to the original.
I don't think it could be TOD. I don't know about the jacket pockets, but the holster is for the S&W, the whip holder is attached (it was a separate piece in TOD), the color of the pants is taupe, a la Raiders, rather than khaki, the color of the leather (especially the whip and 'bag strap') is lighter as seen in Raiders, whereas they looked almost black in TOD, the color of the buttons on the shirt are lighter as in Radiers, the web belt is darker as in Raiders, and the shape of the hat appears to have the Radiers block. Everything about this picture says Raiders to me.
