Mk VII sightings
My wife and I enjoy watching PBS because their programming is great, we don't have cable (don't really want it) and all the major networks stink. Anyhow, we've been watching Foyle's War on Masterpiece Theatre for the last few weeks. It's about a police detective (Foyle) and his two assistants who solve murder cases in England during the Second World War. The cases aren't necessarily war related, but the war plays an important part as backdrop to the times. It's very good.
At any rate, I've at least one Mk VII in every episode. Since both civilians and military carried gas masks during the war, you can see them carried over the shoulder or strapped to their chests from time to time. Check it out!

Very cool, Bink!
Also, if you check out each episode of Band of Brothers you will find this clip during the intro music:
My GF got kind of tired of me saying "-There it is, see?" at about the 4th episode.
I saw a guy in the subway the other day carrying a Mk III gas mask bag for the S10 mask (following the Mk VII) and I almost jumped across to the upgoing escalator to ask him about it. I didn't.
Regards,
Swindiana

I saw one in a movie that came out a few years ago starring Billy Zane as an American hunting guide in South America and Keith Carradine as a rich jealous husband looking for a diamond hidden in the jungle. I can't recall the name of the movie right now, but Zane's partner carried a Mark VII bag for his stuff.

Bink, yes!
I saw that show a few weeks ago- it was one where there were these British troops training and someone was murdered and Foyle came in to uncover it all... There were MkVIIs everywhere in it! I posted about this some time ago but no one seemed to respond...
I'm glad someone saw it as well! )
