MBA/ Noel Howard

Post by joeyofarimathea »

Just curious..

So id like to pose a ? for the group ...

So the other day on a FB group we were discussing the shoulder bag strap. Specificly the MBA/NH version ( early 2000s). It would seem that Noel would generally emboss or stamp a groove all around the edges of the MK VII shoulder straps. Then it got me thinking...did MBA do all the leather gear on Raiders? Because the same style stamp/groove is often added ( by Vendors) to the holster and the belt. So it would make sense if they all came from MBA?

So has it been confirmed if it was MBA that did all the leather pieces? If so has it been confirmed that these grooves are actally seen on screen in the film? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure it has been confirmed that none of the Raiders straps had grooves on them. Many of the early vendors (whether original suppliers or not) had recourse to the fans as to what details were present on the original items. Many of us (me included) always saw grooves in the Raiders strap (artifacts from the lower quality grabs back in the day)... so that's how all of us used to make them. And now we've come full circle with the grooves being present on the DoD straps. :rolling:

Thanks for the info.

But then what about the grooves on the holster and belt? Where did that originally come from?

Thanks
