I concur, that looks like a nice color under any type of lighting.
And I always strive to take pictures with some kind of back drop.
Can’t wait for warmer weather or take some under the sun.
Come on summmmmmmer.

They truly look so perfect. I always wanted to have cotton Indy pants, but they were hard to find and Magnoli's ones were always above my budget.
When do you expect to have all sizes at your place and start shipping them out?

I am going to submit the order (sizes and quantities) today with a few other things (including another adventurer shirt - Rick O'Connell) so once that all clears, it should be about +/- 6 weeks.

I **may** but it will depend on demand. I think they work really well for Skull, but it isn't everyone's favorite hah.

We are still in the midst of unpacking, so I haven't been able to get any good still of the new Desert Grey trousers, but I was able to get geared up and take a quick video outside on my iPhone - here are some (very low res) stills that show the color in natural overcast light.

Nice gear. Apart from the pre-order stuff is everything that's available to purchase in stock, for example the Cairo olive trousers?

Yes! Cairo Shirts, V shirts, and Olive trousers are shipping! The leather goods on there are mostly made to order, so they aren't preorders, but wouldn't immediately ship.

Re: Indy gear from Karolian Dry Goods
Hey all!
Just wanted to update folks on trouser preorders!
I'm very happy with the color and the new fabric.
The trousers should be in production soon - my rep left, so I am dealing with a new rep. In addition, I had had some other samples made with these (unrelated stuff) but that delayed shipping the trouser samples.
So things are behind. I apologize! I know preorders can be frustrating. But they really do make these possible so I know how many to order, what sizes, helps defrays freight costs, etc.
I will post once I get/pay the invoice!

Re: Indy gear from Karolian Dry Goods
ATM it may be between 6-8 for production and shipping.
I have a few items in development with them and approved all the samples - but I ended up breaking the trousers and one of the unrelated item up into one order.
Hopefully this will speed things up so they aren't producing several items at the same time and having things sit while other designs are finished up. This happened with the sample of the grey trousers as I had 5 other designs going with them - several of which were really complicated (items I have previously offered made to order but was hoping to get streamlined to have them more available to folks) but that really delayed things. The freight on these is about 100% of production costs, so samples get expensive fast.
This is where a small operation like myself (literally me in a basement, formally in an attic hah) hit a lot of friction.
I try to keep several irons in the fire to keep myself afloat, but sometimes one hiccup (like us needing to find a different fabric manufacturer, or finding a dye facility that will accept a smaller order) can bump stuff back.
I do apologize for the delay. I know it is frustrating to put down hard earned money for a preorder and have things delayed.
These first run of trousers and shirts (Cairo Olive Trousers, Classic Shirt, V Shirt first run) were sort of a trial run for me expanding my business in this direction. Now that I have my more reliable contacts and ideas about lead times, things going forward should be easier for me to predict and will be "rolling" as opposed to the stop and go I am at now.
I know my posts can be a little long winded and whatnot, but I try to be as transparent as I can with these things.

It certainly helps that you (and many other vendors) bring a fan's enthusiasm and craftsman's attention to detail to a complex project like expanding the universe of affordable Indy gear available to us. That and the quality of your products will buy you lots of goodwill and patience as you add to your lineup.

Adam,
Thank you for your thorough updates. You may think you are being long winded, but it is much appreciated to get detailed updates from vendors, especially when money has exchanged hands and you have customers waiting.
It's also great to get a look behind the curtain. Being a small operation is certainly a challenge and sharing that experience is helpful for all of us to learn about the process of bringing a product to market.
Regards,
Indiana Jeff

Thanks for the encouragement you guys!
At the moment, I'm debating doing a second run of Cairo shirts as well. This would be to restock sizes as the medium and the large sizes went quick. Mediums are gone!
Can't say how amazing it was to get that response to them!

Question. Is the second run of DoD shirts, more khaki in appearance, meaning there a differs shade/color from the first run.
But that combo looks good, very good.

Yes, they're a little darker, and a little less pink in the undertones. It's tough to explain hah.Indiana Croft wrote: ↑Sun Jan 29, 2023 4:06 pm Question. Is the second run of DoD shirts, more khaki in appearance, meaning there a differs shade/color from the first run.

Re: Indy gear from Karolian Dry Goods
Hey all,
Just wanted to give a small not so informative update, but things are moving along with the trousers.
The turnover for my rep has resulted in my new rep being stretched a little thin after getting back from the holiday.
I paid the invoice in November, so we are in the production queue. With the positive response to these, I decided the add about two dozen more pairs to the order. That really shouldn't push anything back further, but it will mean more will be available. If we are going through the trouble of garment dying to the Pantone color I chose, might as well do as much as I can afford!
Just wanted to update you guys on that. Again, sorry for the delay, but it is a perfect storm of factors to cause a delay like this.
The better news is that I will be restocking the Cairo shirts! I work with a few different businesses, so these are from another source. Same design as before, just replenishing sizes.

Re: Indy gear from Karolian Dry Goods
I posted this on a pretty popular Indy FB group, but cross posting here!
"Hey all!
I wanted to post an update on the Desert Grey Officer Trousers!
Thank you all so much for the patience on this run.
Long story short, but there has been what I have been referring to as a perfect storm of factors that delayed this run. Between moving twice in as many months (and having my whole livelihood packed up in storage for months - the first move took about 4 months of slowly pairing down my office), having about a half dozen items in development with them that required multiple samples to be created and delivered, having turn over with my rep (which resulted in some confusion as to my initial payment in Nov, and then ordering additional pairs due to the dye volume), finding a new fabric manufacturer, a facility that could dye them to the pantone color I chose, holidays, ongoing issues with Covid, holiday shipping gluts, etc, they took awhile!
BUT - as of today, my rep is stating that completion for the cut/sew should be about 2 weeks. After that, they will be sent out to myself and I will fulfill all the preorders.
Again, THANK YOU all for your patience. It means a lot to me as a one person show. If you've reached out and it took me a bit to respond, or I missed you, I do apologize. This is one branch of what I do, so things can get hectic.
Thankfully this seems like it is a one time issue. I have a LOT of items in development with these folks, and they've delivered some great product to me over the last year or so, including the first run trousers, and the Deckard Blazers (which took awhile to develop with them as that ones tricky, but they got it exactly to my specs.)
Sorry for the wall of text, but I wanted to give everyone an informed update!"

Hey all!
Sorry for being MIA here. The last few weeks have been hectic.
The trousers are with the freight company! They held onto the trousers while I was away for a wedding (I didn't have much service - I was north of SF) because they also finished the Rick O'Connell shirts.
They should be here shortly!
Thank you all again for the patience on these. I know it was a headache!
The Cairo shirts are restocked though! Those arrived while I was away.

Re: Indy gear from Karolian Dry Goods
I just googled "Karolian Dry Goods Berlin Shirt" and it was pretty easy to find. Looks like it is indeed a LC look - hoping to get my hands on one soon. I remember watching LC for the first time when I was ~14 and thinking that the color of the shirt looked noticeably different than the color in Raiders and TOD - although part of that is of course the color grading used.

Went to his Esty store and checked it out, yes, definitely a LC shirt.
Will think about it.
Love Karolian work, just wish the length were longer, with my build, they’re always coming untucked.

Hey all!
DHL is being DHL...their tracking doesn't seem super accurate. I spoke with CS as it looked like they needed some additional business related info.
Yes! The Berlin shirt is more of a Crusade shirt. It's actually my favorite to date. I really like the grey.
Right now, the service I use for the site is having some shipping issues, so I have only added these to Etsy for the time being.

Re: Indy gear from Karolian Dry Goods
Hey all!
As of this morning, customs has cleared the items and I paid the remaining duty on the items!
Three boxes (of 5) are at the delivery hub.
So fingers crossed the remaining two get there today and will be out for delivery soon!
Thanks again for the patience on these. I can't say how much I appreciate all the support!
Like I have said, these seem to have taken the brunt of a bunch of issues (materials needing to be replaced, turnover, customs...) so I will *not* be doing more preorders in the future unless something really warrants it. These should have only taken about 8 weeks or so to produce when I paid in November. It is crazy to expect buyers to wait this long. I can't in good conscious have people wait like this for orders.
That said, I have some other Adventure items in the works both for the Surplus Line and my mainline that I produce in house. A few I am *really* excited about!

Re: Indy gear from Karolian Dry Goods
Just ordered two pairs of pants through Etsy. The fact that they are cotton and not wool is a huge selling point for me!

Nope, only the desert grey ones. The other ones are missing from Etsy, or at least I did not see the option to choose them...
I wanted to order off the official site first, but there was no shipping option for Europe.

Same here, I had to choose Etsy too. I'm curious about the fit. I hope the seamstress won't have much to do to alter them.

Yup, me too! I chose what I think is a slightly large size in the hopes I can make them smaller if need be.
I wanted to get some Wested pairs too, but they are out of stock.
