You keep using pictures for comparisons that don't really show anything... your scarf pic from page1 was better ;)
And I think you can't use any indoor pictures for color comparisons.
Use something from outside or in the truck, those you could at least color balance

So, here is a quick shot of my vintage cardigan which I have not shown off yet. But Ill use this as an example as it is insanely spot on. The jacket and sweater is shown with TWO scarfs. The left scarf is slightly darker. To the eye they look brownKhaki/Taupe colored and you can clearly see a difference holding them side by side. However when putting them under artificial light they almost turn white.

Just one of the reasons why I think the original scarf is much much darker. If I had a darker scarf it would turn out more similiar to the orignal under artificial lgiht. We will see what my darker scarfs does. One thing is for sure, its fun! 8)

I’d e more interested in actual natural light.

Enough folks have posted close enough s that look pretty good.

I’d hate to discount yours based on bad lighting.

Looks like the gloves are wool fleece lined with three stitched seams on the back and folded edge seams:

Winter drivers glove type?

Belt looks like it could be the TOD belt (steel West end buckle, leather keeper, 1 3/8" wide, trimmed triangular end point)

Lol!

Its funny to me how bad they were at keeping track. First Radio, then holster, then no holster. Somebody at the wardrobe/prop dep. slept on the job. But we all know it was a quick in an out shoot. So it makes sense.

But clearly, here she is.

Another cardigan on the way. This one is super nice. Totally awesome details. Chunky knitted backfolded cuffs like the original. Slit pockets, which I also think the original has. Wide front buttonpanel. Cableknit. And most importantly, it has a chunky, beefy collar and body much like the original. And color is spot on. :H:

Cool super accurate gloves. I guess mine are 95% accurate as they have a black lining instead of cream/white.

What a day this turned out to be! Got the new cardigan in as well. 8) This is the Voboom cardigan. I had to order one to see what it is all about. And to my surprise it is actually a dead ringer for the saxophone sweater in terms of color. We all know that the saxo cardigan does not show its original color and is more on the rusty side because of artificial lighting and that is cool and all but I am searching for true color mostly when it comes to Indygear. However, I actually really like the Voboom cardigan. It gets me right in the saxophone mode. And to be honest screen accuracy is a bit difficult as the colors change from scene to scene all the time. So, to be fair. this sweater fits the MoB bill.

WHat else can I say about it, the cut is pretty good. I had to work the collar a bit to make it sit right. The sizing chart informed that my size was on the longer side. So I emailed the seller and asked if he could pick out a 26'' backlegnth and sure enough he found one. I also told him to sort one out with finished buttonholes as some sweaters come with an unfinished buttonhole and yep! Got that too!

Quality wise, seems pretty good. Its not super heavy, its alittle over medium weight. its comfy, does not itch. Feels good and warm! Im pretty sure Croft would love this sweater, if your reading Croft, email them and ask for a shorter one if your considering.

I love the wide buttonpanel and the cableknit. I have to update the buttons tho. But all in all, this sweater rocks! 8)

Now, just one more cardigan and Im done with cardigans for a while.

These pictures show the exact colored as it is to the naked eye. Bear in mind, pictures are taken in mirror, so they are flipped.

26'' backlength. Im 6'2'' and weigh 198 pounds (athletic).

To be honest, the top ones are decent. It has the 3 lines and side split. but the leather looks suede and they are too long. They kinda remind me of womens gloves. and the bottom one is way off.

Check out my gloves above, these are as close to screen accuracy as I believe you can get. :TOH:

Hahaha, they're actually the same pair of gloves just in two different colors. I know the second color is WAAAAAAY off. I just wanted to share that picture because it's the only one that gave a peek at the lining.

TBH, they might be women's gloves for all I know. I've spent the morning combing through Google Shopping results trying to find anything remotely close. So far, these are the best I've found. Getting the right leather construction and lining combination is proving difficult, but I guess that's what makes it feel like a treasure hunt.

I also found these, which I know are incorrect in that they have rabbit fur lining rather than wool sheering, but I also think they look pretty close? https://leatherglovesonline.com/product ... yYQAvD_BwE

Anyways, I'll keep looking!

Here we go! The jacket!

Yeah,.. the dilema! Since I used to be a Moderator here, my brain is kinda twitching when posting a jacket in the general gear section.. :? but hey! The jacket showcase fits pretty good here as well as I am building the entire MOB outfit.

Ya I was waiting for your review on the Vaboom sweater.
Will reach out and see what he can do for me.
But I’d definitely change out the buttons.

I tried looking for it on the bay, but none had sizing.
Could post the link to the one you bought, seems he’s willing to work with people.

I really admire the tenacity that must have gone into this, as well as scouring the internet for all of the other vintage items. I'm getting lost and overwhelmed looking for contemporary close-enough's from online retailers. This thread is a lot of fun, and I appreciate all the work that you're putting into it :TOH:

So here we go! New update!

The gunbelt Indy wears in Motb is a Temple of doom 1 3/8 gunbelt. Small detail often overlooked by many folks, myself included. I allways thought he wore an LC belt with brass buckle. But nope! Its a temple belt.

The belt is made by Makeitjones and the craftmaship on this belt is out of this world. This will last for decades! Top notch stuff David! :TOH:
