Does anyone know when Advintage will start taking orders again?

I have 5 AdVintage hats -- 4 Harrisons (2 rabbit, 2 rabbit/beaver) and a beaver custom-made. No knock on Fed IVs (I had 3 of those before discovering AdVintage) which are great hats for the money, but the AdVintage hats offer, well, some AdVantages when it comes to felt quality, color choices, accuracy and customization.

Your best bet is to email Thomas and ask. From the website:

Saw in a Facebook post that Thomas will be opening orders back up in a couple of weeks. Depending how precise his estimate was, that would mean sometime around the week of November 28th.

Should we start taking bets on how quickly his queue will fill back up and need to be shut down again?

Orders officially re-opened today for handcrafted hats. The Harrison line is still unavailable.

Per the AdVintage website, the wait time for handcrafted hats is currently 90-100 days. There is also now a “Rapid & Carefree” option on the Masterpiece (incl. CS Hero) fedoras that bumps orders to the top of the queue for a hefty additional fee of €229.

That's good. When you get past 90-100 days lead time it starts becoming onerous for all parties involved. Customers get frustrated and then want to cancel, the backlog becomes stressful for the vendor, etc. It would probably be good if the queue starts to back up again and the lead time gets around 120 days that he shut down ordering again until he catches up. And it's not Thomas's fault; I have a feeling the increased time lately had more to do with materials availability than demand. Demand certainly went up, but materials went way down.

Order-production time seems quite fast...

Ordered the handcrafted Raiders Fedora on 29/11/2022.
Got the Payment request on 13/12/2022 , fulfilled the payment and now it is in production since 13/12/2022.
So perhaps I'm getting a nice X-mas present!!!
