Weathering on the SOC hat

Post by hobbitjedi »

On the SOC hat you can see a lot of weathering along the ribbon on the hat. It has always looked strange to me. Is that a natural place for the dust/sand to settle? Wouldn’t it be over the whole hat, not just around the ribbon part?
And what are those three circular areas on the side of the hat opposite the bow?
Just wondering…
Thanks!

Sweatstains. Or simulated at least. I have several ballcaps that have sweatstains around the bottom, where the sweatband/ribbon would be on a fedora and dust/dirt tends to show up in the same areas.
