New Webley Replica Option

Post by Indiana Jeff »

Scrolling through Instagram I came across a post of a new (to me) Webley WG replica maker, Shoot & Scoot. Located in the UK.

That's great! Actually looks like metal.

Also, not perfect, but:

I cant find a Rook replica, so I bit the bullet and decided to order this bad boy. Its coming from overseas to the USA so I am guessing it will probably take over 2 months to arrive. At least based on other overseas orders I made this summer.

Anyway, I'll let you all know what I think when it arrives! :whip:

They look pretty good. Has anyone else bought from this site?

I bought a pair of their US army trousers just to see if they were a good option! Very properly made and almost a direct copy of Indy trousers, but much darker and more khaki in colour. They did very well for the Goodwood Revival anyway! :)

I had one but sold it on - it's a Mk V frame with a MkVI barrel (I know as the cast picked up the original markings on the pistol) so a bit of a Frankenstein. Rubber is a bit too soft / flexible and finish not great. Other than that it was okay for the price and there was no VCR act requirement for UK buyers.

When I placed my order I was a wee bit worried that there was no follow up email, no shipping notice. Nothing. I’m hopeful it will be worth it! Fingers crossed.

Have you received it yet? I'm curious if they're a viable option, or if I should just modify my MK VI airsoft.

This company now do a hard resin cast of a Mk VI Webley - should be easier to modify into a WG-a-like than the pot metal of the airsoft:

And they take quite a reasonable approach to VCR Act compliance which can be a limiting factor in the UK for sourcing replica or airsoft pistols (although oddly doesn't apply to airguns or deacts).
