Raiders Nazi Shirt

Post by IJJTM »

I was watching some deleted scenes for Raiders, and I noticed that this Nazi's shirt looks a lot like Indy's. What do you guys think? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cUtkNMmVDqU" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Start at about 5:08 if you want to see more angles.

Well it's been theorized (or proven?) That they reused Ford's hats for other folks... maybe his shirts as well?

Do we know Indy was wearing his shirt under the robes when he went into the Well of Souls? If not, maybe Dietrich found it laying in the sand and thought it looked sweet. :D

An original DAK shirt from the Imperial War Museum collection for comparison.

That might work for the Nazi next to him, but the main guy has pleats on the front like Indy.

I'd bet money that he is wearing an Indy shirt in the pic above. I don't really see anything that doesn't match up. I know the resolution isn't great, but I feel it's enough.

Many of the German uniforms were pieces together using different countries militaria. I believe some were from Belgium and some from France but I could be mistaken. It's been a while since I'd read about it. I know the shirts and trousers were sourced from different countries.
