News from USWings!

Post by Michaelson »

Received this email yesterday, and asked to pass it along.
We are going online only and cutting out walk in trade ! We will keep all the manufacturing in IL. and NJ. and our Partnership with Schott and going after the Brass Ring with the TOP GUN Line..I will still offer the Indy Jackets of course.. As You can see it is official and will take place the first of Sept. with the increase of price increase Please pass the word because after this week end there will be a major increase in all products… Quality cost more and that is the bottom line.We will be making the new U.S. Army Issue A-2 for the U.S. Army starting this fall plus we will be making the Made in the USA Pea Coats.

So it appears the USWings brick and mortar store is actually going up for sale, and everything will be done as an online shop.

Wow! What disturbs me is the major price increase on everything.

Their "store front" was never very big and I don't imagine they got a lot of foot traffic.

Seems to be some confusion there...I just got off the phone with a rep there- I was asking about an exchange, and mentioned that I was planning a trip to the store October 4th, and it was too bad they were closing it...she said "uh, no, we're not closing, you'll be able to come in!"

Thanks for the heads up! :TOH:

I just sent David an email asking for clarification, as the email posted above was verbatim 'cut and pasted' directly from Sgt. Hack, so there's definitely missed communication somewhere.

I'll let you know what he says.

Here ya go! ;)
Hello M,
Looks like we may not close this location after this Christmas due to the demands of the new U.S. Army A-2 Contract.. We had wanted to move back to Stow Ohio and build a new larger Building because of the High Property Hudson Ohio Tax But the Contract calls for us to stay at this location and build on…. that information came over this morning… We have 20 acres open land right next door to us so looks like we will ride out the high tax and see what the City will do for us with the taxes.

Sarge
