Can you buy a Herbert Johnson on site in their store?

Hey all,

I'll be traveling through London in September this year and I definitely want to visit Herbert Johnson where I will probably just have to buy yet another hat. Im curious if I will be able to buy a premade hat right there in the store or do they only do custom orders? Their site says all their hats are made to order but they have standard sizing so I could imagine they have some display models.

I suppose I could order one ahead of time and just pick it up in person or better yet, get sized for one in the store and order it there and have it shipped home to the USA when it's done. I'll only be there for 2 days on my way to France/Italy so I dont think thats enough time to order a custom one and pick it up the next day.

Just curious if anyone has been to the shop and has the answer.

Hello fellow Indy fans and adventurers!

Everything we make today is bespoke and to order. We do have many hats in store for anyone visiting to try on and of course to get your head measured up. You can go two ways if you plan to visit the store. You could order by calling or emailing the shop with your order details and size then once the hat is made and sent down to the store you could come and collect it. This of course will only be possible with enough time ahead of your visit so September is plenty of time to arrange this scenario. Alternatively you can visit and get measured up and place your order whilst in store and we will then ship your hat to you once made up.

New website coming later this year which will make ordering any of our bespoke styles including Raiders both with or without the turn put in and also option to buy open crown or completely to customer's specific requests. It will also have lots of information and links for Indy fans to enjoy reading and watching. Watch this space!
