This is my second attempt at making a mini bullwhip.
The point was to make the handle a little longer, so that the transition knot is outside the palm. I also wanted to make the heel knot a bit bigger so that it rests nicely in the palm.
The 12 roo-hide strands are cut more finely than my first version where I used leather scraps mostly.
Small Colt25 replica for scale.
Makers hand for scale.
This is the finest transition knot I have made so far (the strand is just a little over 1 mm wide).

Not dumb at all! You need to use a bit of force, as it lacks the weight of a full size whip, but it cracks amazingly nice.DeLano80 wrote:Maybe a dumb question.... Does it work?
