Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Those are the ones I'm after.
Want to see how they measure against my Wested Hero.
I typically wear size 40

Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
a doubt regarding back length. I'm about to order a BK in a size 42R. all measures are adjusted correctly but I have the doubt with the back length, I measure 182cm which is equivalent to 6ft I think !, the length in BK is 23.5 inches, I have a Wested that I just put on sale with 24 inches long back and I do not know if the BK would adjust correctly. Any advice with this?

Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
The BK and Wested Hero are cut differently. I am 6 ft 4in and on the OTR Wested jackets wear a 28 inch back. The BK with the shorter back measurement still fits pretty much the same on me.
Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
I've been reading that the BK is cut different from Wested, but as I had reference the Wested and a Californias Venture that has the same length, I had my doubts
Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Well! order placed in BK now I have to wait!!

Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Just sent my Relic Hunter back for repairs: from the USA it's ~$70 shipping. The return shipping will be £35. I must say that the price Andy quoted me for replacing the sleeve struck me as pretty reasonable. It's annoying to be sending it in for repairs, but at least BK is pretty reasonable in what they charge to do it.

Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Excellent news. Now stay away from them toxic spewing birds.
Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Will do. And I'll be sure to check the jacket when I take it off, to make sure they didn't stage a sneak attack.
Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Hey guys, how long has it been waiting to receive the BK jacket?

Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Mine took 8 weeks. Worth the wait. It'll arrive just in time for winter. (unless you live in Australia).

Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
They're pretty good at sticking with a two-month wait time (though there are exceptions for leather types that aren't in-stock).

2nd June ordered mine. Was waiting for the sirated lamb ..shouldn’t be too much longer now.
Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Patience Although we can not avoid when we wait to ask ourselves constantly if I have successful in the size or stop me customizing the jacket
Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
what's the current turn around time on a BK relic hunter?
Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Just read the last few posts. Should give you the answer.

Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Wow. The Holy Grail jacket looks so good. Congrats!
Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Are these jackets going to be available in alternate leathers at some point, or is it lambskin and cowhide all the way?
Speaking as someone who has one of the Nowak Indy 4 jackets, the leather looks spot on, btw. Lack of distressing aside, it could easily be mistaken for my jacket.

Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Hi, we can make them in any leather you want. Please send us your request by email.

May be selling my Relic striated lamb to get the Holy Grail.
What is the leather like in comparison Andy and if I wear a 40 Relic should I buy a 40 Grail ?

It's very different than the Relic Hunter. What is the leather like in comparison Andy and if I wear a 40 Relic should I buy a 40 Grail ?
Yes, if 40 is your size in Relic should get same for the Grail.

It looks like it ages differently when it comes to the undertone.
Is this accurate?

Limited edition, makes it extra tempting. I've ordered a Holy Grail jacket though.

If you decide to sell I might be interested!
Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
My relic hunter, freshly repaired by the boys at BK, is only 40 miles away. Can't wait to see it!!!
Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Just got my repaired Relic Hunter back today!
I'd almost forgotten how insanely comfortable is. The work is flawless and the new panel on the arm blends seamlessly with the rest of the jacket. It may be December, but I'm going to find a way to get a lot of use out of this jacket this season!

Looks great!!
Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
They are! Everything about them feels "right." And later this month (hopefully), I'm going to be receiving a second one - this time one of their A-2s.Tibor wrote:Sweet! Congrats on a fine outcome. They are a second skin, aren’t they?

Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Very nice...and I drool over those A2s they have on there...man I wish I could grab one of those as well but the price point is a little too high for me right now...
Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Anyone got the Grail yet ?
Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
My order confirmation gave a 12-14 week lead time. That was about a month ago, so not yet.
Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
You don'to despair! My order is about three months ago and I'm still waiting. I wrote to Andy to know about it and he answered this.
Soon we will publish on our fb page our backlog with estimated dates of delivery so you will be able to see.We will have news soon.

Didn't realize they shipped from Greece. That means a lot of gyros!Tibor wrote:... and I love the box with all the Greek stamps
Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Yep! They’re a Greek company, owned by an American ex-pat. As I recall, they use the pound because they’re worried about people holding it against them that they’re from Greece.Nosirrah wrote:Didn't realize they shipped from Greece. Orl, I got a similar message last week. I’m still waiting for BK to post the list.
Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Any member of this forum who has ordered a Relic Hunter has had news of BK. I ordered mine on September 14 and as a comment here I sent an email to know the status of my order and I commented that I would put a list on Facebook. about two weeks ago and I still have not seen anything.
Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Hi Orl - I ordered a jacket at the beginning of August and am in the same boat as you. I got an email from BK today basically telling me to sit tight and that they’d update me on how it was progressing soon. My recommendation is to hang in there. I know the wait can be infuriating, but it absolutely will be worth it when that jacket arrives.

Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Ha and I thought my wait for a grail diary was bad. Almost been a full year. BK will deliver and like Mulceber mentioned. It WILL be worth it. BK is leaps beyond a lot of vendors.
Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
I don't doubt that the wait is well worth it. I'm not in a hurry either, it's the lack of information that sometimes...

Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
I gotcha. Yeah Andy is either quick or it takes a few days. No doubt the days he is not quick is due to his busy schedule. Man. Remember the snail mail days? How did we ever survive.
Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Just got a notification that my jacket shipped today. I’m not sure how far after mine yours is, Orl, but hopefully you’ll find out soon.
Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
I hope to receive it soon! When did you order your jacket?
Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Early August. I suspect it will arrive in early January.
Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Andy’s posted the list. Any of these yours, Orl?
