I won one of these at the Finger Lakes Summit a few years ago. These aren't paper stickers or the bulky badges you get on most reproductions (even if the bulky badges are closer to SA, I think they make the lighter too thick to be practical).

Highly recommend to pick one up while they are available.

Sorry, I posted it from my phone, and the link was really unruly when pasted. My apologies! Enjoy wandering through catacombs or accidentally setting ancient rugs on fire.

I was always warned by others that these were poor quality, but maybe things have changed. I see good reviews have popped up.

I think the overall quality of Zippos has fallen in general.

I have one of the original (Relic Raider?) zippo's and one of these as well.

The older ones have a much more solid feel. (But, it has the bulkier badge as mentioned earlier.)

I still carrying one of the original Magnoli Elsa Zippo's from the 90's.

It's held up very well for it's age and amount of carry time it's experienced.

Does anybody know if it actually is screen accurate? I know zippo lighters have had different casing shapes during the years.

If this is straight from Zippo, I doubt it's actually period accurate but just modern Zippo with the clover. but Relic Raider makes them in different vintage styles.

I'd interested if he's still making anything. :-k

I was in contact with him last year to make up a lighter for the FL summit raffle, and then he suddenly disappeared from radar. Never did raise him again, and I've been a LONG time customer! :-s

I'd be interested in knowing if anyone else has been able to contact him for anything lately. His stuff is great when you do!

:M:

I just checked my email 'saved' file and still have all the email exchange with K.P. to do the work for a 10th anniversary Zippo for the FL Summit when he disappeared. That was back in 2014.

Here is a review made April 2016 of the zippo limited edition lighter, don't know if he is a COW member.

https://youtu.be/kQGVUDNqq5Q" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

By the way the relicraiders 1937 version doesn't look like a SA one, the screen used one looks more like the 1941 with the round top edges.

I just received the lighter yesterday, it's definitely a vintage zippo, I had my doubts due to so many fakes going around and more because of the actual price of $30 dlls with free shipping, it's a model 200 and with a little research I did it seems the screen used one was also a 200. The design seems to be printed on the metal? I really don't know there are some lines going across.

Pros: It's an actual Clover Zippo. Price lower than the sticker. Made 2015.

Cons: as you can see in the pictures the clover is not perfectly align in the middle and it leaves a small gap where some metal can be visible, it's minimal but it's there. The clover is a little bit bigger than the actual screen used design. I had never purchase a lighter and did not know they do not come with lighter fluid so I can't light it up

Well that's all I can come up with right now. Here are the pics.

By the way, now that I have this one and comparing with screen caps I don't think the Screen Used one had bulky badges.

No, it didn't. Those badges were produced by RelicRaider as an answer for the collector to obtain one, as no one (including Zippo) had them available to the collector for a LONG time.

The original film used version looked like it was hand painted by the photos in many of the books of the screen used items.

I have owned a couple of these new Zippo editions, and overall I am not impressed. The decal or screen printed image, however it is applied, always seems to flake and chip off after a month or so of carrying in a pocket or satchel. I had one that lived solely in the left jacket pocket of my wested Raiders jacket and never once put anything else in there that could have scratched it, yet it still flaked.

I wish someone out there was making a more durable version right now. I would try contacting Relic Raiders but anyone who is going to post something asinine like "Anybody who asks me if I still make the lighters will not be served." on their website advertising the making of said lighters isn't getting my hard earned money! Id rather support someone with good products and good customer service to back it up (Im looking at you Indy Magnoli). :)
