My new 8 feet Indy bullwhip

Post by bearbeast »

A few weeks ago I finished my latest Indy bullwhip. It is an eight footer in Walnut colour, braided in Paracord 550, with two bellies.

It is one of the nicest looking whips I have made and amazingly fun to crack. :whip:

Here are a few pictures:

And a video of me cracking it, that I already posted earlier:

Looks very good! I've never worked in paracord, only leather. I've always thought it must be hard to get any kind of weight using it, but your video shows it performs perfectly well.

Hi, Whiskyman! Thank you!

It is definitely lighter than a leather bullwhip, especially considering I do not use lead weighing. But it only requires a bit more force to crack.

For now it is very stiff, but in other whips I have made, once they break in and loosen up they crack much more easily and require less force.

Cheers,
Bear
