No it's not whipwarrior, I'm having trouble finding a vintage German troop carrier to be dragged under. The look I got at the dealership when I asked... ;)

Ok guys. So i loved my LC jacket from S&J so much that i decided to get another one. their LC is based on the smithsonian jacket, so for this order i asked Diego if he could make me a "Chicago" LC jacket, that were used in the castle grunwald and zepplin scenes ( correct me if i'm wrong). I got the jacket last two months ago and I'm really happy with it, great fit and i love the distressing. the LC is my favorite Indy film and i've always loved the jacket so now i have a Smithsonian & Chicago repo jacket. Thanks a lot Diego i'm very pleased with how this came out.

That looks fantastic! I love the fit of yours. I do wish now that I had ordered mine a bit slimmer in the body. It's the ONLY thing that keeps me from wanting to wear it every day. Unfortunately I only feel comfortable in mine with a sweater underneath or looser fitting pants. I love that yours is a little slimmer in the shoulders and body. I'm actually considering ordering another to correct that. There's no just no other LC jacket out there that can compete with these!

Thanks guys. I was very impressed with this right out of the box. And i'm sure Diego can adjust your measurements for a slimmer jacket. I made sure i measured myself at least three times to make sure they were right. but i still have enough room to layer.

Thanks for the compliment. I'm gonna try to post some better pictures soon. These pics don't do it justice.

I had them shorten sleeves for me just a tad as I don’t like it touching my knuckles even though it’s SA that way.

Thanks for a great jacket. Customer service was top notch. I would recommend you guys to anyone. I love most that I don't have to have bulky clothes underneath for this to feel fitted. Just an Indiana jones shirt from Azuma would do. Today I have a sweatshirt on though as we are going through a nor easter up here in New England.

Pardon my French but I am a Leather whore. I don’t work with anything but the best leather. Wow his leather is sweet. I agree with you Diego. Indy V jacket should use this leather.

So what details are most important to everyone for SA? Obviously for most of us factoring in body type and sizing for best fit can take away from SA a little since we’re not Harrison.

Is it the D Rings & stitches?
Shoulder length?
Collar style?
Pocket size/style? I’ve noticed lots of preference for the Smithsonian jacket for the pockets with the differing corners pattern.

Hi,

You don't need to be Harrison to wear an LC style jacket and look sa.

Our jackets are proportional developed to fit you in the correct s.a. way.
A jacket made according your measurements and sizing.

Our LC pattern is based on the Smithsonian jacket.

Cheers.-

It's here! It's HERE! :D

My S & J 38 just arrived. What a Work of Art! I feel like it should be put on display as a prop...but, no, I will wear it. The horsehide is fantastic. Its a light as any lamb I've worn but not as delicate, and the distressing is not only accurate, but looks realistic. Naturally the fit is perfect, after all, we're talking about Steele & Jones :notworthy:

So I grabbed a few pics outside where is is all overcast. They don't do it justice, but I hate posts WO the pics.
(BTW Free pic hosting I'm using is imgbb.com)

The sun came out so I took 1 more quick shot. Any white specs you may see are not the jacket, but were dust from outside.

The Grail is ResturaJones and the Elsa Zippo is Luke0321, the LC shirt...Azuma naturally :TOH:

Man that jacket looks great! I honestly haven't seen one bad jacket come from Steel & Jones. That horse hide is great stuff, light but no worries about snagging it on something like I do with lamb. Your collar looks perfect.

Finally got to wear my completed Last Crusade gear yesterday to the Silicon Valley Comic Con in San Jose, California. I got a number of nice compliments and made sure to give credit for the jacket and fedora to Steele and Jones. I even ran into a Dr. Henry Jones! And Kylo Ren thought I was Han Solo..

I ordered one as well! This time in a slimmer fit.

If anyone is interested, I am listing my current S&J LC Jacket in size 40. According to Diego it was the first jacket to incorporate the changes learned from the Smithsonian jacket.

Nope, but I am sure Diego can do anything you want. Congrats, you will love it, since these jackets are a labor of love. The Smithsonian jacket is what I affectionately call the Tank Jacket, and is also worn during the “we are well out of range” and “no camels” sequence.

Just got my jacket pics from S&J. It’s a horsehide LC with some modifications to make it a little more hospitable to motorcycle riding — namely gussets, a little extra length in the back (to hide that plumber’s butt!), and warmer material on the inside. Thought I’d share the pictures with you all!

Maybe I’m silly and missed it someplace what’s the difference in the Chicago jacket from the castle sequences compared with the rest of the film and/or the Smithsonian?

I purchased my S&J LC ‘38 last year just before their reveal of their Smithsonian trip. I love the jacket more every time I wear it, and I find myself considering another in the near future!

Hi Hammerklavier,

The jacket on this thread is made from our previous horsehide batch.
A couple years back.
It's indeed slightly thinner, but same weight.

So, the jacket is the same weight than the original, but a tiny bit thinner.

Our new lambskin is the best option today, in terms of thickness, grain and color.

It's the same.
The jacket at Smithsonian museum was mainly worn by Ford in the Tank chase scene.

So we call it: The TANK jacket
