S&J TOD???
I confess, I haven't looked in the last month or so. However the last time I checked steele and jones didn't do a Temple of Doom jacket. Just the Raiders according to the website. Does anyone her have a custom one from them? Or can anyone make a suggestion for one outside of Wested? Don't get me wrong here Wested makes nice stuff but I read that they aren't keen on TOD jackets over something like a 44"-46". I'm a 48L all day long.
Cheers, Jordan.

That's great! It must be something with the way tablets format the website. I went over to it this morning and only could see pictures, information and talk of the cazadora 36. But that's moot to me now. IT CAN BE DONE. Indigo, I'll drop you a line shortly. What's easier pming here or email?

Thank you Indigo.
Re: S&J TOD???
I gotta tell you, I own a Cazadora 35 and it's my favorite jacket that i own by far. I wear it whenever I can. You won't be sorry.
Re: S&J TOD???
My second Indy jacket was a ToD from S&J. Still my favorite by far. At this point I only own one from Wested, and S&J. Can't beat it in my opinion, at least when it comes to ToD. I can't speak for the other makers.

Re: S&J TOD???
Nitz146, Teneas. I've been talking with Indigo for a day now. Making progress towards what I'm hoping will be a awesome jacket. I'm a rather solid guy though 5'9" 250. my concern is that the more fitted cut of the TOD will be foolish looking. Anybody got one in a 48L or better that they'd like to share a picture of?
Re: S&J TOD???
Sorry brother, my S&J Temple is a 38 at best, and I shrank it further when I showered it. I wear a 40 normally, but I wanted one that had the tightness of the village scene at the end.

Re: S&J TOD???
I have the S&J Temple Jacket. It is my favorite jacket. That said, I think your concerns regarding the tapered cut of the jacket are valid. I’m sure Diego can make it for you regardless, but if you don’t already have one, consider the Crusade Jacket they make. Would definitely accommodate a heftier chest and arm size. That’s the route I’d go. You won’t go wrong with them though. They are great.

Re: S&J TOD???
S&J makes excellent jackets.
Funny story on how I bought a Wested ToD jacket in a larger size a few years ago. I added the jacket to the cart for the largest size offered. Then in the remarks, requested a size 50L. When they processed the order, got an e-mail that they would make the jacket but did not offer it in larger sizes as they had problems in the past getting the pattern right on larger sizes. They were miffed at me.....
So I have one in horsehide in a 50L that fits like a 48L.....lol

Re: S&J TOD???
An unexpected surprise when this magnificent Indy Jacket arrived at my studio today - gifted to me by Steele and Jones.
The quality of the stunning horsehide leather, the impeccable attention to detail in putting the jacket together and the finishing are all considered by me to be pure art.
Diego and Roberto have created a flawless Temple of Doom masterpiece and I will wear it with pride.
My sincerest thanks for your generosity, kindness and your artistry fella’s

Re: S&J TOD???
LoL. Perhaps the detail of the “gifting” should have been too
You know how folks get around these parts with things like that and all.

I asked because I don't think that. As Jeremiah says, you brought this up yourself so I (and maybe some others) thought there was a cool story to share.
Re: S&J TOD???
I can’t help but agree. If it was a gift for a reason that you’d rather not disclose, then maybe not mention it was a gift? You could’ve just made it appear as if you had bought it like a normal customer, just saying...
Re: S&J TOD???
Guys, it’s really not that big a secret; S&J had a drawing for some of KramStaar’s excellent ToD art as part of the debut of their ToD jacket. They probably sent him a jacket as a thank you.

That certainly made it appear as if it was a big secret. If not a secret, then why so cryptic a response? Just saying..:

Re: S&J TOD???
I'm not getting a S & J ToD, went for the Raiders instead which is coming around the end of January, but I wanted to comment on the beautiful art created by Mark for the ToD jacket ad. Great job, I always enjoy it, thanks.KramStaar wrote:Thank you very much @Mulceber.Mulceber wrote:Guys, it’s really not that big a secret; S&J had a drawing for some of KramStaar’s excellent ToD art as part of the debut of their ToD jacket. Put my order in today.
Re: S&J TOD???
Which leather did you get? I’m close to pulling the trigger myself (already have a S&J Raiders and LC; figure I should complete the trifecta). But stuck on which material to choose.

Re: S&J TOD???
Here's what's in store.
Chocolate lamb
Black buckles, also no prongs
Brown cotton interior with satin sleeves
Distressed. They do an awesome job, I did some more but was very careful.
Amazing how 600 grit sand paper takes the sheen off and dulls it down like in the movie.
See the thread I started, hoping all who purchase this amazing jacket will post.
