The BIG Question....
Other than SOC what is your favorite style Raiders fedora?

Re: The BIG Question....
Idol grab.
There's not much competition though, as I consider most of the other hats in Raiders to be variants on SoC: Raven Bar = SoC + brim curl. Truck chase = SoC + a little brim curl, etc.

I like how the hat looks when he exits the well of souls.

I agree. It's the silhouette that makes that picture so unique.Indy Magnoli wrote:The first time we see it:

The crown always looked high to me in that photo compared to the rest of the film.

I know this is basically SOC, but it's still my favorite.

Hear, hear!
Re: The BIG Question....
Yeah, I consider that still SoC, but darn if that thing isn't a beauty! If we aren't calling that SoC, then that's my top pick.distantpeople wrote:Hear, hear!

Re: The BIG Question....
I would say my favorite is the last movie fedora and then the Temple.
I have a couple of Raider ones but have never been a big fan of the pinch on them.
I have always liked the older fedoras even before Indy but the Raiders front pinch just looks strange to me when I wear mine.

Crystal Skull was a very nice hybrid of LC and Raiders

Another vote for Crystal Skull.
Actually, I agree with Magnoli and the others, the first time we see the hat in Raiders is the best time we see the hat. But the KOTCS hat, in many scenes, managed to look like a hat that had held up well to a lot of real world wear and tear, while maintaining, and perhaps slightly improving upon, the iconic shape and style. Additionally, the KOTCS hat seemed to fit the older Indy character. I don't know if they tweaked the shape at all to fit better with an older Indy's features, but it definitely looked like the hat that belonged to the face on the screen.

Re: The BIG Question....
Not to add even more choices to the discussion, but the hat from the later part of the truck chase is particularly spectacular.
Re: The BIG Question....
I've also liked the look of this hat from TOD

If one looks at the positioning of the ribbon, it appears that this particular hero fedora has not been turned.
As a matter of interest, this is my favorite Raiders look too.
Thoughts?

Re: The BIG Question....
If it is turned it’s very minor. I think you’re correct though Jack.Jack@hatter wrote:temple_runner wrote:I agree. It's the silhouette that makes that picture so unique.Indy Magnoli wrote:The first time we see it:
