Whip Help, please
I've got a Keppler whip, and I've noticed that the thong / fall joint part is a little different than on whips I've seen pictures of. This makes me curious as to whether or not replacing the fall is the same.
Also, I've noticed that my fall seems to get knotted once in a while, and I usually take out the knots as soon as I notice them - is this the right thing to do, and if it's a problem getting knots, what am I doing wrong to make them, or how can I prevent them?
In Christ,
Shane

Yes, do take nots out at once!!IndyMcFly wrote: Also, I've noticed that my fall seems to get knotted once in a while, and I usually take out the knots as soon as I notice them - is this the right thing to do, and if it's a problem getting knots, what am I doing wrong to make them, or how can I prevent them?
If you do not notice them and they get tight...thats not good for your fall.
You get nots because you do make too "narrow" move or other move where thong and fall hits itself and makes nots easily.

Uh... yeah, but I'd need somebody or someplace to host them. They could of course be deleted afterwards.Molorom wrote:Can you take a picture of the fall attachment?

Thanks for the help so far, guys! I knew I'd get my question answered here... we're all freaks - lol - even if that is a good thing.

There`s a little loop in braided end and fall has been put through it, yes?IndyMcFly wrote:Alright, I'll take some pictures... meanwhile, this is a picture from Lee's site... I don't know if you can get anything out of it, but that's what it looks like, a little zoomed out and not focused. lol
Thats quite nice actually!
Makes fall very easy to change to new one!

Yeah, it's got a loop in it, but that makes the fall have to be tied to itself... kinda odd. The fall has 2 holes in it, the one that we normally see, and an extra one for the fall to also go through. It's kind of like this:
[O]]]]][O]]]]]]]] That first O is the hole on every fall, and then we've got that extra one. If you can imagine the loop being this O, and the fall going through it like a U, the tops of the U cross eachother, so it's like an X on top of a U, with one of the branches going off into the fall itself, and the other branch just ending and sitting there. My problem is, I've never seen falls with 2 holes in them for sale, and so I think I'd have to cut my own hole in the fall... which could be a problem for me, since I don't have any leather-working tools. I hope my explanation makes sense. If not, just look at the picture and try and figure it out... actually, it might just be easier to look at it that way, and know that it's passing through 2 holes.

On second thought...
Know what... don't worry about that fall at all... I just un-did and re-did it... which always works, right? Heheheheh... sorry to bother you all with that, but still - does anybody know if you can buy two holed falls?

You can tie the fall very simple without making extra holes to it.IndyMcFly wrote:Yeah, it's got a loop in it, but that makes the fall have to be tied to itself... kinda odd. Just slip the thong through the falls hole and then slip falls tip through the thongs hole and pull tight.
There it is!
