Nylon and Cowhide bullwhip?

Post by baddates1 »

Here's my whip before the overlay. I ordered 300' paracord for the overlay, but the thought occured to me: why couldn't I put a cowhide overlay over this nylon belly/electrical tape and artificial sinew bolster whip?

Does anyone know if this is possible? If so, where could I get high quality but affordable cowhide? It can't be too thick, I want it to be as thin as Kangeroo hide.

Hey, baddates1! What did you end up doing?

I am not a whip expert, but this sounds plausible. Well, except the thin cowhide. I think it would need to be a bit thicker than roo.
