Need new soles, heels and welting for my Aldens...

Post by Indiana Strones »

Any help or idea? Alden sells heels only, and restoration is too expensive from Italy... :-k

Seems like 'we're' ducking ideas, but what most have found easiest to do is to find a good cobbler in YOUR area that can do the work.

As famous as Italian shoes are in the world, one would think you could find a good shoe maker/repairman anywhere over there if you do some research.

That's how WE handle it, as even here in the States sending boots back to Alden's is an expensive route to go, so we just have them repaired at our local shoe repair shops.

Good luck and let us know how it works out!

I found a local cobbler for a "restoration" of my Aldens. Let's see... :-k

Ok, my beloved 9 y.o. Aldens are back home after a little "restoration". The cobbler decided to save the original sole and part of the original heel. :TOH:

I appreciate seeing gear with honest wear from ACTUAL use, and the efforts made by our members to keep them in good working condition.

Always have.

That's what gives our gear character, and stories to tell. ;)

Before and after:  :D :whip:

Color is the same, difference is due to light.
