Los Angeles area hat shop - Wellema

Hey, Gang -

There is now a hat maker/ shop in the Los Angeles area called Wellema Hats. I think he has come up on Fedora Lounge but the reason I'm posting him is because it has always been dang difficult to find a skilled, cut and dry hatter in the L.A. basin.

I have been in the shop and, while I am not a hat maker, I own several - ABdlx, Penman, AB, O'Farrell, vintage Borsalino, etc. - and this guy's work seems to measure up at a glance.

I have no dog in this fight. I just want to see him do well and survive so that I do not have to send my hats out of state to tack down a ribbon or replace a lining.

Would love to order custom from him at some point though!

I like what I see on his site and the pricing is reasonable.
