So, it looks like there's a .455 HE mkII in my immediate future. However at some point in its life the owner installed a model 1950 .45 barrel on it so he could better shoot .45acp. No worries cause I'm just going to "Bapty" it. But I am looking for a original, un-cut HE barrel in .455 just in case I want to put it back to factory.
Anybody know somebody or somewhere I can source one? Gunbroker is a bust, I've been looking for 3ish months. HELP!!
Hand ejector barrel. The search continues...

An original .455 part might require quite a bit of patience.
Gunbroker is a good start. Watch eBay and GunsAmerica as well. I would put feelers out on smith-wessonforum.com.
One will eventually come along. Good luck, and keep us posted!.

I have amassed a handful of barrels while building my Bapty and Stembridge pistols, and the only way I found a 455 barrel was on a 455 pistol. I ended up buying the pistol just to use the barrel on a separate 455 that was in much better condition.
If you decide to go with a regular 1917 barrel, send me a note. Good luck with your search and if you find one, please post a few pics!!
