Summer Indy review?

Post by LANDINGPARTY »

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but is there a review or thoughts on the summer Indy? I was thinking of getting it as an everyday wear vs an SA gear jacket. Thanks

He's obviously referring to Summer Glau, the actress made famous playing River from the TV Show Firefly.

What would She wear as Indy...

I think he means the cotton jacket by Wested.

Yeah it's listed like that on their website I think

Though, I like the looks of the Magnoli Waxed Cotton Adventure jacket a lot more.

Well, I have a cotton Indy from Wested and it's a great very light cotton jacket. Same details as the rest. Only thing I kind of don't like though is that the collar is sort of large. I wished it was a bit smaller but I can forgive that.

It is lined and works great. Although I have to mention I think I kind of look like a UPS delivery man when I wear it!! Would be a great jacket for all their employees to wear!!

Ah, that makes sense. I've NEVER heard it referred to as such, hence my question.

I've only heard it referred to as the Wested cloth Raiders.

My wife and I have the first two prototypes in cotton drill. Hers was the original with corduroy collar, and mine was the first with standard collar.

GREAT jackets, though you have to have them dry cleaned rather than machine wash. The surface 'pills'. Someone tried it here with little success. ;)

The color also fades with time from exposure to sun, so the UPS uniform appearance wears off after a few years.
