I was doing some update shots of my hats for my revamped website coming up. I was working with different lighting and as I reviewed my shots, I noticed the well known hat debate of Grey versus Brown on the travel hat color. Now before churning up that old discussion, I just want to say this is just an observation of effects. I, by no means, offer this as a color offering or an alternative in any shape of fashion.
It occurred to me that the same lighting affect was happening on the clipper plane as in my set for setting up lighting in this shot. The sunlight was overwhelming the window in the shot that the hat ended up having a light brown tone to it. Just like on the clipper plane. The outside sunlight competed with color tones going on with the hat.
Take a look and see what you think.
Grey Hat
Grey Hat?
Interesting.
Made no mistake, though, my hat is grey

That should end the discussion once and for all! The Clipper fedora IS gray. Just looked brown due to the lighting.
