Wested Indy shirt review (Updated review after wash)
Okay so I went ahead and ordered a Indy shirt as I found out they redid the shirt. So this is my first review post. So first off I'm not sure if I got sent one of the older shirts as it came in with yellow tint to it. It fits great and doesn't look out of wack shape as some companies make them. Material is great it's light weight and love the feel but the color disappointed me. Again not sure if I got sent a old stock yellow one or I'm not sure.

Okay I washed it in the washing machine on hot and with dark clothes. It did shrink as expected and now fits a little better to me. And the color seemed to slightly change and now I'm loving it. Doesn't appear to have any yellow at all. It's not the SOC stone color but it appears to be more like the real shirt color. More towards the part where Indy offers Marian the date after the monkey runs off.
This is the best I could get to show the real color. Pictures distort the color I have noticed.
This pic is to show the new fit after washing.

Re: Wested Indy shirt review
Thanks for the review. I have one of the older ones. I usually wear a 2XL in regular shirts and they are pretty loose fitting in the chest. The Wested 2XL fits very snug with just enough length to tuck in. The WPG one is a big 2XL for comparison.

Thanks for the review.
I have 1, 2nd hand, said to be about 3 years old. Fits great, I love the light weight material and the way it hangs. The color is fine with me. I'd like another, but no one has posted one in the Bazaar for some time.

Wested has changed the tint of their shirts it appears. I bought one as part of a combo deal several years ago and it was greenish/khaki. This is a nice version. Pockets on the large side.

Re: Wested Indy shirt review
I posted new pictures of the shirt in better light. I'm used to the grey/stone color but I know some scenes appear dark tan color so what is everyone's opinion on the color? Is there a safe way to maybe dye it? Or I might sell it.Texan Scott wrote:Wested has changed the tint of their shirts it appears. What size is it? Given a reasonable price, I think you'd have a buyer here.indyfan1234 wrote:I posted new pictures of the shirt in better light. Please Message me if you decide to make that move.

Khaki is interesting because it could be stone, gray, green, yellow, tan, or light taupe. It depends on what color scale is used. Seems as though WPG took the gray/stone route, which resembles the shirt as it appeared in the sunlight, but oversaturation will do that. This new Wested looks good though. I like what they did with the color.

I use the Noel Howard shirt I own as my color guide base. The ideal Raiders shirt should be (IMHO) on the darker side (at least compared to most current offerings), with a TOD and LC shirt being just a little lighter. None should lean toward yellow.
However, since our gear usually doesn't appear on film, on screen, or in the Tunisian sun, it comes down to what you, specifically, think you see in the movie. From that, you can decide on your own ideal.
The other thing I like to bring into judging shirt color are the colors of the rest of my gear. In a hobby where acquiring exact replicas is pretty much impossible, capturing the overall look seems like finding the right relationship between the various colors of your entire outfit. Darker pants and jackets will need a darker shirt, pants that have a slight gold undertone will be more forgiving of a slightly yellowish shirt, while grayish taupe pants might make such a shirt stand out. Lighter or heavily distressed jackets make lighter shirts less obvious, and so on. Balance it all well enough, and I think the exact shade of khaki won't matter much.

Does anyone have any washing instructions for this shirt?
Also: super disappointed by the buttons. I agree that they look a little light, but what really bothers me is the fact that they aren't sewn onto the shirt very well. I've only had the shirt for two weeks and I've already nearly lost one or two of the buttons.
