My set of samples came today, yea. Unfortunatly it was missing the sample of Auth. brown goat. In my samples was listed the following samples: Pre-distressed, black hide, black lamb and brown lamb. Ok not exactly what I asked for and yes I will inquire w/Wested as to acouple of questions, like is the brown lamb the auth. brown lamd or just plain ol brown lamb. Who else has gotten confusing samples.

Well, on the 2nd set (the 1st to arrive) the Auth. Goat was labeled DK Brown Goat. Wasn't until the missing set arrived with the DK Brown Goat in it that I realised it was marked wrong.
I ordered Auth. Goat and it came out PERFECT! I love the color! Will be placing an order for the Auth. Lamb in a bit.

Just got my samples of Auth. Goat & Lamb.
Here's the question though, which is which, they didn't come tagged.
Heres my best descrption of each.
1) has a small grain pattern to it and is not shiney, underside is a brown shade. :
2) has a more opened grain and has a shiney surface (not real shiney but does have a shean to it), back side almost has a greyish tint but at same time looks brown. :
Any help would be awsome.

Most definetly Indiana Texas-girl, I believe this one to be the Lamb.
I've read in past posts about how goat has a shean to it. Whats the best method for removing said shean, achol was or acetone
As a matter a fact I believe you an I have the same type of Raiders pre-distress cow hide jacket. I bought through Wested about 5-6 years ago, It'll be going back to have the inside replaced. When they have my old jacket in front of them I figure it'll be easier to mfg. my new one.
Thanks for the replys, any and all two center's are welcome.

I would think standard rubbing alcohol would do the trick and think it would be less harsh than acetone.Indiana Croft wrote:Most definetly Indiana Texas-girl, I believe this one to be the Lamb.

Yeah, I've had mine for 2.5 years. I love the predistressed hide color, especially right after it's been Pecarded. As a matter a fact I believe you an I have the same type of Raiders pre-distress cow hide jacket. I bought through Wested about 5-6 years ago,

I myself used acetone on the goat with no adverse affects. It completely got rid of the shininess and the jacket even feels better now. I liked the goat before, but I fell in love with my jacket all over again when I saw it the day after it's appointment with the acetone (and pecard's gel of course)
