Custom Raiders style holster, belt & holder by Make It Jones

Post by Tinplatejeff »

Just arrived today my Custom Raiders Set by Make it Jones!

Really happy with how everything turned out. David was a true pleasure to work with. I emailed him back and forth countless times trying to decide what worked best for me.

Holster: TOD/LC style holster sized for a 5-inch barrel but made in the Raiders colour and with the Raiders closing strap.

Gun Belt: Raiders 1.5" width belt with short point, edge creases and David's buckle choice #1. Belt does NOT have whip holder attached.

Bullwhip holder: Grab design in Raiders colour and style for 8-foot bullwhip.

I envision wearing the holder on my web belt with the gun belt passing through the top loop of the holder in LC style. I think this will duplicate the Raiders look the best while giving me more flexibility and comfort when wearing it. The holster is sized for and fits perfectly my 5-inch Denix Webley revolver.

All items are "aged" for that well used look. I'll add more pictures later this weekend.

Did I choose wisely?

Beautiful holster and belt! Looks perfect. Been kicking around the idea of a hybrid myself, and you might have sold me!

I'm very happy with the sizing & fit.

Here's the holster with my 5-inch Denix replica Webley.

And it also fits perfectly my S&W 5-inch Model 1905 4th Change (K-frame) chambered in .38 Special.

The Smith & Wesson is a vintage gun I inherited from my father, it was made in 1927.

They look superb, that's a fabulous combo.
Especially like the holster with your Dad's vintage Smith, you do him proud with that holster.

Excellent! I have a MIJ holster that accompanies me camping and only looks better after each trip.

Just received my ToD holster from MIJ too and I absolutely love it. Not 100% screen accurate but it's more of a ToD, LC style. Its now one of my favorite pieces.

I was so inspired by the quality that I found the MIJ site, have talked to David and explored some options.

When he comes back from holiday , I'm going to order a Raider's belt , with detachable whip holder made in the Raiders style. He recommended buckle 3- but they all look good. And to hang on it a Raiders holster.

Can't wait - thanks for the inspiration TJ.

Yea, here it is. I love owning a real deal holster that is so well made, and the color is awesome.

Thanks. I haven't gotten anything to put in it yet. I'm hoping down the line to get a decent webley replica. I'm going for the ToD look anyway so that's my temporary excuse.

That holster will serve you well. Like I said before MIJ pieces are NOT strictly costume holsters. They are the real deal. "They're good pieces".

I agree. I had a Todds, which I thought was a pretty darn good holster for the price, but I traded it in for something that I knew was going to be great quality. It was around triple the price of the Tides but I don't regret it at all. Like I said it's one of my favorite pieces that I have.
