Hello everyone as most of these threads are people asking for opinions on whip makers. I'm looking for a more accurate whip as I just have a budget whip at the moment. I saw classic bull whips site and prices are not too bad. Was hoping for a ROO hide one but I'll settle for a well made cowhide as long as it looks the part. Any pics or reviews would be helpful. I tried searching and only found a few things on classic bull whips.

The whip in my profile pic is an 8-ft whip I purchased new from classicbullwhips.com about 4 years ago--you can read my review over here:

It's held up really well over the years, and though I don't get out to "crack-tice" as often as I'd like, it performs well for me every time.

It looks nice thank you! Love the darker tan color on yours! The current whip I have now each band the sides kinda are not flush I guess you can say and I know more SA each one is usually flush smooth. I know that is accomplished with rhoo and I was thinking of getting one of his 8ft rhoo whips. I messaged classicbullwhips and have yet to get a message back. I'm sure he is busy.

I haven't decided yet on a 10ft cowhide from him for $400 or the 8ft kangaroo for $440. He seems to be the cheapest kangaroo hide around that is the right look. I saw a pic of his kangaroo that had a longer handle though. I'm sure I could request the more SA handle length

There's no denying that a roo hide whip is, if made properly, a beautiful thing. I own one roo (Stain), and love it. But, they are heavier (***** for costume wear), and I tire out quickly cracking it. My other whips are cowhide - light, great crackers, and just flat out fun. Also, they age faster (darkening and such), where my roo has hardly changed at all.

That said, a $40 difference between a cow and a roo... It's a hard opportunity to turn down if you don't already have one.

Yea I really want a roo bull whip. They are so expensive. Classicbullwhips seems to be the cheapest roo that looked the part. Would love a de caprio which studied Morgan's whips if not mistaken. But $440 is already breaking the bank.
