Can you rebash a fedora to have a turn?

original crease?
if you are rebashing/recreasing a hat. One would assume you had a bash or crease in it already, correct? You would need to take out the original bash/crease. You can do it if the original bash/crease isn't set in. If it is, you will need a re-block.

And if the original front crease, or pinch has been there long enough and was very tight, you might have some discoloration or lightening in the color (a vertical faded line) that would remain if you recreased th hat off center.

So for example a Coyle's downtowner I've had for about a year? It has a semi tight front pinch.

Great hats for the price.... but if you need a full re-block it'd probably cost the price of the hat or more if you factor in shipping it to someone...

I bashed my Akubra from a Raider's tight pinch bash that it had for years to a fairly decent 4 diamond crease by just using steam from a boiling pot of water. You can still see a little of the original pinch at the front but it still turned out well. Keep in mind I've had this hat and abused it for years.

Personally, i'd follow some of John's youtube vids on bashing a hat and go from there.
