Re: Wested ToD Jacket With Larger Pockets in Horsehide
I just put the jacket on for the pics without any adjustments. The pockets are larger than the one they sell but slightly smaller than the Raiders jacket pockets. It actually looks longer in the back than what it is. It sits about 2.5 - 3 inches below my belt in the back. I like them a little longer anyway.

It is thicker than their cow but not too heavy. The horsehide they use is much softer than what Aero uses. It does not have that thick and heavy feel like horsehide biker jackets. Very comfortable but substantial.Hammerklavier wrote:great looking ! is it thick and heavy ?

I'm curious too. How much thicker and more durable is it than goatskin? And also how is the flying squirrel effect when the arms are raised?

I have both hides and the horsehide is thicker and for me anyway is a colder weather jacket. The goat can be worn pretty much the same seasons as the regular lambskin. Both are durable jackets with both leathers lasting a long time. I would give the edge for durable to the horsehide.Tyrloch wrote:I'm curious too. The jacket fits (me) like the Wested Hero in the upper arms and shoulders. With the jacket zipped, I can raise my arms chest high fine. Any higher and the whole jacket will ride up. The Wested Hero, ToD, and their LC/CS jackets do the same (on me). My Wings Legend SL and Kangaroo also do it when zipped. I also have a half-belt Schott, Aero and Vanson that fit like that.
The most comfortable Wested jackets for me are their OTR or custom Raiders ones. Not the Hero.

From the Wested site: "For screen accuracy you would need a 2-claw buckle which we unfortunately do not stock, we are however happy to put them in the side straps if they are provided by the customer."giantthugee86 wrote:Did the original TOD jacket have d rings or buckles for the side straps?
