Rubber S&W from Western Props?

WSP's Raiders pistol is a durable, lightweight holster stuffer. The casting's finish is rough because it mimics the antique host pistol's "peppered" texture.

Specs:
Single piece of lightweight, molded, flat black colored ABS-style plastic, not rubber
Brown and gold painted grips and a hi-vis orange painted bore
Uncle Mike's brand sling swivel installed as the lanyard ring/butt swivel.

It's a 1:1 scale casting of a functioning S&W HE2 Bapty clone owned by the late Indygear pioneer Lee Keppler. Probably as SA as it gets outside of replicating the screen-used pistol.

Sounds great. So its not as soft as rubber? Will it fit nicely into Todd's Raiders holster?

It's rigid plastic, not soft at all. And it'll fit perfectly in Todd's Raiders holster.

Overall I like it. It meets my needs and is perfect in a Todd's Raiders holster.

it is definitely hard plastic and fills out the holster just fine. I have the real gun with the full 5 inch barrel and i see now why that holster has two holes for the clasp. One for the full barrel and the other for the shorter one. Pretty cool!

I'd always wondered why there were two holes in the holster strap. Then I saw a screencap from the desert chase with what most agree is an FN or Inglis Hi-Power poking out of the ill-fitting holster fastened by the last strap hole. So...my guess is that the strap was modified to fit Indy's Hi-Power. Check it out:

If a 5 inch-barreled revolver was ever considered for the movie, it would have made way more sense to make the custom holster longer. That way it would've easily accepted a 4 inch gun as well. Just a thought.

Okay, ya got me roped in to talking guns and holsters again. Back on topic. I love my WSP Bapty!

Going to continue to drift afield a bit, I had never noticed that picture with the ill-fitting and seemingly semi-auto in Indy's holster before.

What's more odd is that they would have a gun in the holster at all for that scene. I'm sure it was soft rubber in case he fell on it, which may answer why that gun was used, it's what they had to fill the holster and still be safe, but safer still would have been to have an empty holster.

Yep. Well, if you look at most of the desert chase stunt close-ups, the holster is clearly flat and empty. Perhaps after Vic Armstrong subs in for HF.

Does anyone know if this is available anywhere else besides WSP? It says it's still in stock on the website but when I tried to order I got an email saying it was not available at the moment.

The only other source was the late Lee Keppler, whose personal Bapty the WSP pistols are molded from. I'm sure WSP will eventually crank out more. You may wanna give 'em a call to check.
