Hey, guys!
So, I just had a minor tragedy...my old pair of Berkshire Chase frames came back from the lab where they were putting my new prescription in...and, the tortoise from around the eyepieces was gone! On top of that, they'd apparently lost one of the temple screws, and tried replacing it with one too big.
So...they're going back to the lab to try to find the missing pieces...in the event they can't, I'm going to ask for replacements.
But, when I went to the main forum page to confirm the frames I'd need to order, the info in the glasses was gone!
Any idea where it's gotten off to, or what I should be doing?
Thanks!

Where di you order the originals from?
I'm pretty sure it's these "Savile Row Beaufort Panto" supposedly in 14k but berkshire chase is only selling them in 18k now.
http://www.bestbuyeyeglasses.com/prescr ... nto-20936/
http://berkshirechase.com/product/savil ... ort-panto/
http://savileroweyewear.com/shop/beaufort
http://www.framesdirect.com/framesfp/Sa ... amg/r.html
But supposedly these are close enough as well and cheaper - Berkshire Chase English Beaufort
and then Mags has these for less, they're gold plated instead of gold but still great looking eyewear . http://www.magnoliclothiers.com/profess ... p-657.html
It's not on the main page oddly enough as you noticed.... I could've sworn it was on there but I don't visit the main pages anymore, hahaha....... but I found this info using the search function so not too sure if it's correct but it seems to be.

Hop into the wayback machine and see the IndyGear days of yore: https://web.archive.org/web/20040206040 ... shtml#boic" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Hey, man!
Thanks for the reply! After posting last night, I did a little looking, too. I got mine 18 years ago, from Berkshire Chase...wanted the real deal, so, they are the 14k. I saw all that you noted, too-so, if they can't put my glasses back the way they were, I'm just going get a new pair of the Savile Row.
Hope the insurance company doesn't give me too much friction on it...they are expensive, but, they're the ones who damaged the originals.
And yeah, Dale...I thought about the wayback machine, but didn't go down that rabbit hole last night.
Thanks, dudes!
Cheers!
