Anyone know a source for SA pronged buckles for Temple of Doom jacket. I've just ordered a jacket from Wested and there all out so I'm looking to get a pair ASAP.
Kt has generously offered me one he has spare
, if anyone else has got another lonesome one you can part with please drop me a PM.
I'd post a picture of the right kind but I'm currently having issues with my image hosting site, If anyone can post one for me it would be much apprieciated.
Cheers ZOLTAR

Hi Zoltar.
Any luck on the buckles yet?
I want to get a TOD jacket soon so I'm interested in getting some myself if Wested no longer have them.

Dymond
You can still buy them from At the Front, however they have hiked the price right up since we originally found them there. Back then IIRC they were a couple of dollars each. Now they are nine! German 2 prong claw buckles, or trouser buckles.
So if you want these buckles you'll probably have to order them yourself and send them to whatever jacket maker you like to.
As was speculated back then, these were probably easy to get hold of in the 80's, (even as ex wartime stock) but in 21st century London, not so easy. Many of the trimmings suppliers have gone to the wall and with them all their stock.

AH HA!
Excellent, I'd obviously gone mad when looking at the price.
$5 each is not so bad....
Still a little steep, ah well. Supply and demand, eh?

Just e-mailed them for a shipping price to the UK. May well end up paying more in postage than I will for the buckles

Might be an idea to get the buddy system on the case.

Sounds good, Anyone else UK want in I think it's $35 shipping, If we can order 20 it'll make it $6.75 a piece.
$13.50 a pair sounds a #### of a lot better than $55 for 4!

Did a quick google and found them
http://www.atthefront.com/fabricandhard ... buckle.jpg " onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
They have them at $5 each, but the minimum order is $20 so I'll have to get four of them.
Zoltar I'd be happy to order 4 of them with you.

I'm willing to get 20 pairs of these ordered ASAP, after shipping, import duty, paypal fees and first class postage I reckon I'll be able to pass these on for £12 a pair including UK postage.
Anyone intrested in a pair?

Well I'm in for a pair.
Hopefully At The Front will get back to me with a more resonable shipping price.

Come on, someone in the US put their hand up to help out!
These should cost less than $5 to mail.

ATF Ship in the US fo $10, These will easily fit in an envelope for cheap forward shipping to the UK.
Any volunteers to help us save a few $?

Zoltar you are a star
.
Got the same $35 shipping from ATF in the email I sent them
.
I did think of ordering a pair of jump boots from them with a load of buckles, but they did not have my size
.
BTW what leather are you going for on the TOD jacket?
PM coming.
Remember folks when Zoltar has these buckles in the UK it will be real easy to ship them off to Peter at Wested, rather than ship them to you then you send them to Wested
.

The buckles have arrived
, anyone looking for a pair send me a PM.
£12 a pair including postage, like Indiana Dymond said I can post these directly to Wested if your ordering a ToD jacket.
Cheers

Does anyone know a place to get my hands on a 2 claw buckle at this point? I don't think the links mentioned in this thread still have them in stock.

Did you PM Zoltar like he said in his message above yours to see if he still had some available after 5 years?
He's still around and active here.

Holt found some on Ebay, and we have both ordered some. I will have nearly 16 of these when it's said and done. At least there will be a way to get your hands on them if you so desire.
