My handmade leather Raiders-style holster

Post by IndianaHenry »

One of you guys requested that I post a pic of my Raiders-style gun holster project. I made it by hand with reclaimed leather from a flea market in Homburg, Germany. :)

Bear in mind, it is still in progress, and it is by no means perfect or absolutely screen-accurate. I'm still very new at leather craft and I don't have the tools or skills to make a perfect one yet. Still, it has been a fun project. Just gotta add the brass "button" and the holes to the strap and I'll probably call it done.

Lemme know what ya think! :TOH:

Thanks! Yeah, it's really fun so far. I made a front-pocket wallet from the leather too, and now that's the only one I'll carry

Nice job and with the re-claimed leather you are already on your way for the aged look.

Thanks! Yeah, I was thinking of dying it to get a more accurate shade, but considering it already looks pretty good like this, I decided not to take a chance on messing it up.

Yeah. If you are only going for the SA thing then color matters , but with time and oils your holster will eventually look like that anyway to a certain degree.
I like the color of my 405s and would like to make a holster in that color one day.
