The interesting Kurtz jacket

Post by Holt »

You probably gonna think I am crazy. I allways loved the Kurtz LC jacket. Yes, there I said it!

A long time a go, far far away, in a time before really knowing the differences between the different film used jackets, I allways thought the Kurtz jacket was THE LC jacket worn by Ford in the movied. So naturally it became my favorite as LC is my favortie movie. Now, we all know this jacket is not worn by Ford, allthough the lack of screen time, it still is an ''LC jacket'' to me.

I think the details are wonderfull and almost, (yes almost) a ''better'' choice for an Indy jacket as it has more flap and drape toghter with the high yoke and high side vents. It's more ''Indy'' if you like. And if the jackets are suppose to be ''the same'' thruout all films? this jacket would be a better way to go for LC IMO. And boy do I love the fake distressing. =P~

Allthough, Don't get me wrong. My number ONE Indy jacket is still the Hero Last Crusade. I just think this jacket is very interesting!!

Who's with me in digging this mysterious jacket?

It's not a bad jacket at all, dude...although, to be honest, the removal of color so completely along all the seam edges just makes the distressing look too fake to me...a good distressing job should just accelerate the natural aging process...this makes it almost look like the seam edges are painted white.

But, that's just me.

Design-wise, I like it just fine :H:

I actually like the distressing job of the general body, but I hate the seams. As Holt mentioned, it does look like an old battered Raiders jacket, which is cool.

Wow. I seriously despise the look of that jacket in every possible way. :TOH: Glenville - that's funny.

Does anyone else get the impression that Holt is trolling?

LOL I have no doubt. I couldn't bring myself to do it at all. Wanted to...but the jacket is way to gorgeous.
