Boots.

a couple of things I noticed- the lining is now leather instead of cloth, and the toe stitching looks a little 'squared off' instead of a smooth semi-circle.
Look how much nicer the soles are on these compared to the 'restoration' job!

All-in all I'm pleased with the outcome. I wish I had not had to go through this, and miss out on almost 4 months of having my boots, though.
so they actually sent you brand new boots because of their mess up???

Back in 2010 I sent my Aldens in for recrafting in March & I got them back on July 5th. All that they did was put a new sole & heel on along with globs of glue inside of them that I spent an hour peeling & scraping off. The uppers looked exactly that same.
