Finally pulled the trigger!

Post by corellian1 »

Well, guys, after YEARS of lurking here at Club Obi Wan and obsessing and fretting about all the worst-case scenarios, I've finally gone and ordered my first Wested. It's a custom job, because I'm broad in the shoulders but otherwise on the short side, but I didn't get too wild with the special requests:

LC in goatskin
custom measurements (but not too far off the regular off-the-rack sizing: size 44, 26-inch back, 24-inch sleeves)
gussets
inner pocket
D-rings with the X stitch

I'm not as concerned about screen accuracy as I am with having a good, functional jacket with the Indy cachet that I can wear on my trip to Scotland this fall.

Now I just have to find something else to think about while I wait for it... :anxious:

Sounds excellent! Should hold up very nicely in goat and for those chilly nights, can probably slip a wool vest underneath.

Looking forward to seeing what Wested's goat is like these days.

That's my plan, to wear a sweater underneath when/if I need to... you know, like this guy:

I personally think the true Indy spirit is function over SA, but I'm certain the differences are minor anyway. I have a goatskin expedition and it really kept me warm last winter while living outside Baltimore. Even when the temperature dropped below 0, I was quite comfortable. You are gonna love your jacket.

And yeah... The wait is the hardest part!
